No, no, no! Sure, some of the keys are the same. But the overall scheme, and the feel of the game, is much more WoW than NWN. For example, click-to-move was the norm in NWN. In DA:O, I find that WASD is much, much better than click-to-move (just like WoW). NWN had C for character, I for inventory, etc. but did it have P for skills and abilities (just like WoW)? Etc.
Basically, my hand sits in a comfortable positon when I'm playing WoW. WASD+QE moves my character, 1-4 and shift+1-4 use my most common abilities, ` is auto-walk, space is jump, etc. My hand is in the exact same position for DA:O, and my thumb just wants to hit space to jump! The only difference in position is that my thumb rests on TAB for highlighting items instead of shift to toggle abilities.
There's nothing wrong with any of this, of course. I was just making a light-hearted comment on the first page.
EDIT: Actually, NWN was nothing like this. Maybe the controls existed, but did anyone use them? NWN was all about the mouse! Click-to-move, click-to-activate, radial menu for spells and abilities... I think the only time I used my keyboard in NWN was when I held TAB to highlight items and when I used M/I/C/J/B to bring up the map, inventory, character, journal, and spell book panels.
