hey, I just installed the firewalker pack and kicked it up. Problem is I can't seem to use the tank to collect research. The game prompts me to us right mouse to collect research, but all that does is change my zoom. Ive done both hold and just click and can't seem to get it to work. Any help?
can't collect research?

Same problem as the game telling you to press F to end missions even when you've remapped the Melee key to something else. (It's merely telling you the default key, not the key it's been set to.)
Go into options and change the key bindings yourself to what you want, or just reset them to default and they will then match the prompts. (Collect research is labelled "mine" BTW.)

Agreed. I have the same problem. I also can't use my <left shift> to jump as it tells me to. I sent an email to ea tech support and they told me (in very bad english) to come here. Help...anyone?

Read the changelog of Patch 1.01 and do what noted there to fix that issue. The issue was patched weeks before the DLC cam out, but requires user actions to finally fix it. To bad no one reads such a simple thing like a textfile.

You're quite right no one reads the text file. Why would they? It's a game, it's supposed to relax you; the last thing you want is a troubleshooting session. If this was a problem with user's machines / Windows installation, I'd say fair enough, damn right read the text file, but the key mapping / wrong help issues are entirely Bioware's and such a basic and - as a programmer I can tell you this - easily fixed issue by Bioware, it's quite disappointing, if not downright strange, they haven't issued a fix, e.g. 1.02, not something you have to read up on, or that it's even an issue that slipped through testing in the first place. I will agree with everyone who gives out about this.

By the way, I still also have that issue. I installed 1.01 a while ago. Where is the changelog that you refer to? Do you mean the Bioware 1.01 post at the top of this forum? Do you mean to set the keyboard mapping back to default settings? Is that it? Well, I've done that and it's still not working for me. What do I do?

Just go into the key bindings menu and look up the right keys and change them to what you like. The info is just messed up.

Thanks, but I knew that. The Collect Research key is the Mine key in the key bindings. Still doesn't work for me.

Oh sorry. Have you verified that's not a problem with the keyboard/mouse and maybe re-installed the patch and the Firewalker DLC?

Solved it. You have to hold down the key until the research is completed. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The help message, the one that tells you to press the wrong key when you have the keyboard remapped, certainly doesn't mention it.

For those who are still wondering ^^ its the letter "V" Key on your keyboard, hold it down to the research is completed. (Just wanted to explain a bit)
