Who is the idiot who thought up of exclusive pre order bonus items or exclusive items for different versions of the game? They all should be released FOR FREE.

I think the only idiots here are the ones that are willing to buy five seperate copies to get some useless armour.

Well people in general want everything free, not just "Mass Effect fans". The concept of most utopias is that everything is free and accessible to all.

Picture a Gamestop suit telling you they'll take 100k worth of stocks but only if you give them an exclusive item, else they'll only take 50k. What would you do?

Exclusive armours aren't relevant to the plot, so who cares.

I think he's talking about masseffectfan00 not all mass effect fans...
I don't know about getting everything for free, but the exclusives(like armors or certain missions) are a bit annoying

It does not. Being able to sell back games encourages gamers to sometimes buy more than they normally would.
Used game sales is a separate market from new game sales.
This era there is a number of people being confused by companies like EA, calling used game sales bad.
Although at the same time EA was able to spend 860 million to by Bioware. Used game sales is being used as a scapegoat to their investors to explain away how bad EA manages its money, projects, and customers.

And I am assuming that you have complete evidence and documents to support your claim about EA right?

It's funny... you guys talk like as if you know it for a fact, when all it is is just straight BS talking.  All this EA this and EA that is really tiresome.

I think if you spend the extra money and buy the collector edition (new not used) you should get all the extra stuff through dlc. Minus the pre-order exclusive obviously. And I can understand why they put these extras out as dlc. I mean who wants to release like 5 versions of a game just for a couple different sets of armor and a gun .

Yeah its annoying but this kind of thing isn't new or limited to games. Most people with any sense just ignore this type of marketing get one package and live with having only one of the four happy meal toys.

Others do the other thing. Gotta love the "GOTTA COLLECT THEM ALL" mentality, Pokemon has trained our young to make the businessmen a lot of money.

There is no argument regarding DLC AT ALL unless you can verify and come to a consensus as to whether or not the original game was worth the price you paid.

My opinion? Mass Effect 2 by itself was well worth the cost.

Wow you are new.
If you want it look it up. Project Ten Dollar and EA Bioware buyout. The latter proves the 860 million and the other talks about their issues with used games.

There are too few items in the game for there to be exclusive items.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most of the pre-order/collector armor is pretty "meh". They look pretty, but don't really add much to the game. The fact that you can never remove the helmet irks many, so most people wind up never using them.

The Incisor sniper rifle fires is okay when used by the player, but the AI seems to have some trouble with it. The Blackstorm is good (from what I hear), but obsolete by the time you get [spoiler deleted] another really good heavy weapon, and the Collector Assault rifle isn't really anything to write home about either.

i think that every thing should at least be made DLC regardless of charge.

that way people could just feel complete.

This stuff is just a way for companies to make people want to pre-order their games, and let them see how their sales will be beforehand.

This allows them to affect their marketing and project what they should put their money into.

Besides, most people hated the armors.

Sorry that you can't have everything, sometimes you have to compromise.

i dont under stand why they wouldnt make all the exclusive armors DLC later on, they would only make money.

Yeah, EXCLUSIVE preorder bonus bug me. I don't mind preorder bonus in general, though. And I do like there being extra stuff in the Collector's Editions and I wish they would continue to sell them new.

This was pretty ridiculous. Having one is okay. Having 5 (not including Dr. Pepper) different options (all of which include buying another game) is stupid.

Alright, now here's your chance to start over with a new thread that isn't as derisive and insulting.
