If you started reading the main Tali support thread from page one right now, do you think you could ever catch up to it?

About one or two people at most post offenisve images there
Like Phil I define a Talimancer as anyone who likes her character and had her as an LI

So how old is Shepard by ME2?

And I expect my answer to come bundled with a picture of Shepard's pedophile smile.

Well yeah obviously, that said, a lot of people find the mystery attractive.  I'm not in that camp personally, but there is something to be said of having a close intimate relationship, without making judgments on the person's physical appearance.

I was more referring to her dimensions and voice.  Her body is very attractive based on human standards, and I love Liz Sroka's VA work.  The face is pretty secondary overall to me.

Which was exactly why I was dismayed by the various sexually suggestive images.  And for the record, the one time I did complain about the images in the Tali thread, the only people who responded tried to justify it, even though it appeared they disagreed.  So I don't know who it is that you know, but they must not have seen my post.

Very possible, I recall you stating in another post that you entered around the 1000 post marks, and when explicit stuff was being posted.  Both of those events lead to massive spam wars that carry on for pages.  Anything posted in that time frame gets lost.

I've seen the explicit picture argument  many times.  Its always one or two people against a huge amount of people that don't want the stuff posted.  The pictures may get posted once every 2 weeks now.  I have them all blocked personally, so I can't tell you for sure, but it is certainly not a daily recurring theme.

Seeing as we don't know how long quarians live, we have no idea what that being 24 means in human terms.
For all we know, puberty could have started at 20.

Ok guys I'm back from my calculations and I can honestly say I'm thoroughly surprised by my analysis.

My original bias was that obviously you'd be able to read every post in the Tali thread since it doesn't seem that insurmountable. However I have to warn everyone here, that we are in fact living in the era of the Taliarity (the Tali Singularity).

These are my calculations feel free to double check my math as I'm no math major.

Assuming the average person reads at 225 words per minute...
And assuming that the average post is 150 words....
That calculates the average person being able to read one post in 40 seconds.

Seeing as there are about 125,000 posts total for the Tali threads that means it will take you:
57 days 20 hours and 53 minutes to read every post in the Tali thread.

Now I know what your thinking that's not so insurmountable, sure the actual rate will probably be double or even triple that but we'll assume for simplicity that you are a 24 hour Tali reading machine.

Now in those nearly 2 months of straight reading (say goodbye to eating, sleeping, recreating) the Tali thread will not stay quiet waiting for you to "catch up". Oh no it will continue to grow like the monstrosity it is.

And we know it grows at a rate of approximately 160 posts per hour. Which means if my calculations are correct once you get finished you'll have another 395,040 posts to read to "catch up" again.

The frightening thing is that all of these new posts will take you 102 days 21 hours and 8 minutes to read again. Thus if you haven't been paying attention it is now impossible for anyone who has not been there from the beginning to read all the Tali threads, and if you are currently caught up, you are reaching the point where not even the die hard Tali fans will be able to keep up with the pace.

My friends we have entered a new era....an era where there is only Tali......:o

Quarian lifespan is said to be very similar to humans.  While its possible that puberty starts later, it is pretty farfetched to assume that quarians would send children out in the dangerous galaxy on their own.  The pilgrimages are very dangerous, and only an adult with full training would be allowed to go.  Tali is definitely a fully grown women by the events in ME1, definitely by ME2.

Probability suggests that if what you say is true then I would have seen it somewhere. As it stands, there was only one instance where i saw posters protest, which is vastly outweighed by the number of times I have gone in there while congrats and praise were being posted for explicit pictures.  I count anything where Tali's sexual parts are amplified or made to stand out as sexually explicit because the posters intent is clear. I've also gone in when sexual inuendos and downright sexual jokes were being told that often lasted for pages.  Add to that the number of times I have seen sex in general being discussed.  Now, in all fairness, I could be singling out the instances of sexual related posts in my memory, but I don't think so.

I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I haven't seen anything to justify your opinion.

Knock it down to an average of 40 words per post and you'll get closer to reality.

"Good night" = 2 words.

That'd pull down the average somewhat?
