I have already beaten Dragon Age (roguepwn ftw)Posted Image , been wanting to test out the developer console just to screw around, running windows 7 64 bit. But in the creation of the shortcut , where i link the source to daorigins.exe, and the -enabledeveloperconsole at the end   I try to click next on the create shortcut next button and i get this notice:

The file "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe"-enabledeveloperconsole cannot be found.

I then tried to create a normal dragon age shortcut and then edit the location and add the -enabledeveloperconsole at the end and i recieved this notice when i clicked the apply button:

The name "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe"-enabledeveloperconsole' specified in the Target box is not valid.  Make sure the path and file name are correct.

Has anyone else experienced this?  If this is a mistake on my part forgetting to do something , i shall feel quite foolish.

Are you adding the "enabledeveloperconsole" to the original .exe file? From what I gathered from your post, you originally linked a shortcut to the file while adding that little smidge to it, but got an error saying it cannot be found, since you don't have a file in your directory along those lines, and then you editted the target of the shortcut to link to a file that also does not exist.

Hope that helps.

according to my tutorial to enable the console , it just says to create a desktop shortcut tagging -enabledeveloperconsole to the end of the shortcut location, not to edit any .exe files in the directory, and apparently just tagging the end of a shortcut source location enables the console for everyone else who tries this.
