But, I'm a little clueless with the Toolset.

So is there no way to get more runes? I've only got like 5 Grand Master ones. It sucks, as I have all this crap with open slots, and nothing good to put in them.

Slots aren't locked in, when you put something in them. You can freely swap around your runes as much as you want.

That would work for what you want, you will have to make the mod but can skip creating the item and jump to the script part and it should work

Really? I've got more than I know what to do with

Seipherwood... that link seems helpful, but still confused the hell out of me.
And that seems to be about making custom items. I just want to add more in somehow.

1) Back up the save you are going to edit.
2) Open the save game folder you want to edit (I have vista and my save is in this folder: C:\\Users\\Ariakas\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters\\Damian\\Saves\\Slot_3) and open the file with the .das extension.
3) To add to your attributes click on SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR then SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS then SAVEGAME_STATLIST. inside of here the first 5 entries with the ATTR value are your current attributes. The entry named SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_BASE is the one you want to change starting with strength.
4) To add more of a item to your character click op SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST, then SAVEGAME_BACKPACK. The fields below this are the items in your inventory. Open a field, the line TEMPLATERESREF shows you the name of the item for example if you have a Grandmasters Flame Rune it will have the name of (gen_im_upg_cry_gdm_flm), look at the line called ITEM_STACKSIZE, this is where you change the number of these you have in your inventory.
(NOTE) Keep in mind that you have a maximum number of items you have in your inventory. You start the game with 70, so don't over load your self.
I have tested all of this in the game and it works in my game with no problems.

I'm trying to get more runes. I opened up the inventory, and tried to change the stacksize, but when I went into the game, there was no change.

Thanks Ariakas1!! You helped me to solve the problem that I was having. I sold my Dragon armor when I rolled a Mage because I thought I would never need plate armor. So, following your instructions I was able to copy the dragon armor from another save game and import it into my inventory on my current save game!

Ariaskas, I tried that, and it didn't work.

Go back into the toolset and see if it's changing the number you put in. I'm haveing that problem with alot of different area's
You have to experiment, since we don't have the best guides available on how to do this just yet.
Also does anyone know if IGN or Filefront will be putting up a site like they did for NWN?

It sort of worked with a rune I only had 1 of. It displayed as 20. And I could sell them.
But when I went to the enchant screen, it still only showed the one.
I tried copy and pasting in "new" items, to manually give me more runes... but that didn't quite work either. I added 2, and only one appeared.
So I guess until someone can tell me exactly how to do it... I'm stuck waiting for someone to make an uber merchant mod where I can buy runes.

I had issues with modding saves when i didnt exit out of the game before opening the save file in the toolset and then saving it. I also deleted the modules folder in the my documents path due to it causing errors when modifying save. So far my custom dragonbone daggers that I copied and runed havent caused any issues in the save game.

It is a separate item, as runes get used individually, so I can't just make a stack of 20 without problems.
But I have to make the item be part of a real stack, right?
So if I have a stack of 3 runes, and want to make more, I need to make sure that the new runes go into the stack, and aren't "extra" items.

I am right clicking the number of the item lets say 50 for example and then selecting copy, then rclick on SAVEGAME_BACKPACK and selecting Paste. It then creates an item named NEWFIELD1, which I subsequently try to change to the next sequential number.
