I'm interested in trying to replace the SSAO shader and motion blur shaders (for starters) with higher quality ones (the ambient occlusion one in specific seems to be at a really low filtering quality to save video RAM), but am running into a couple snags early on.
For one, the shader files in the .erf are apparently compiled so it makes it near impossible to determine what is what. For games I've modded in the past there are generally shader files left in HLSL, so I was wondering if anyone has looked into this and found any solutions for editing the shaders here.
I'm also interested in knowing whether or not overriding the shader files has produced any results... i.e. will overriding shaders work in the same way as it does with the textures/mesh models?
Lastly, does anyone know if the toolset has any capability for editing shaders or shaders used?
