I'm guessing this is a pretty unique use-case, but...
I used the NWN2 toolset to create top-down tokens for Map Tool, and was trying to determine if the DA toolset could be easily used (or even used with difficulty) for the same purpose.
In NWN2, I'd use the model viewer to drop in a character, edit their equipment, pose them in some kind of attack animation (select an animation and step through it), take a screenshot, edit out the bluescreen, and we have one token. I did the same thing with monsters / animals when needed...
I've been going through the FAQs and tutorials but can't find anything that seems to have the same utility as the model viewer. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I don't know if adinos added full camera control to his model viewer, but you might try that. You might also try the material editor. Just dump a model in the view screen, rotate it how you want and take a screenshot. For animations you could try the animation blend editor.
