That'll test just how much devotion Talimancers have for her.

Tali is by far the most loved character in the series and by ME2 they KNOW that everthing that can be seen about her is EXTREMELY important to fans. If they ever show her face in the game I can GUARANTEE you they won't change what we know and can see now......yes that means there won't be any scales, the nose will be normal and her eyes will have a normal shape. Plus I highly doubt they'll do anything crazy with her mouth, not when 99% of the rest of her is essentially human.
Which is why they shouldn't show anything about her face in the game, because either they're appeasing you or appeasing me, and neither of us is any more a fan of Mass Effect than the other.
But they have shown features of her face that are obviously apparent through the mask: smooth skin, normal nose and human shaped eyes. At the trial's end on the flotilla thre is a clear close-up shot of her mask where she lifts her head and you can see the expression of her eyes, THAT was probably one of the high points that led to the romance later. Those features helped a great deal in her popularity in ME1 as well, you can't argue that, not without fooling yourself.

Also, where did the idea come from that her skin was purple in the first place?

Then you missed what I had already said:

I always took the silhouette of the face
behind the mask as a placeholder, a means to get the effect of the eyes
behind the mask. A limitation of the game mechanics and not meant as a
definitive statement about her face.
So apparently, I can argue about the features and you can think I'm fooling myself. But I'm pretty comfortable with my opinion on Tali's features.

I think its a good reason to show it as much as I liked the character myself and the possibility of becomming displeasing, I think its worse when people use the to make every fan happy well just never show the face at all excuse...to me its a lazy solution.
(this is probably a third if not half the reason well never some of the other races other genders as it is)
i mean im sure bioware could make quite a few very interesting creative design choices for the quarians that can make a good majority happy im not saying someone wont be upset in the end but me personally id rather be upset after seeing then never seeing at all...and that goes for the other races second gender as well
now then the picture...its very well done and the artist should be proud of him or herself...though it is true some thing could be changed to make it seem more like a race of its own rather than another species thats to human.

The things they have shown won't change. The shape of her nose or the smoothness of her skin, those are familiar things that define the character. What you're trying to say is that they should change her into an insect or some weird, creepy thing without explanation and taping a note that says "Tali" on her forhead. Maintain false hopes if you like but not many people have whatever wird fetish you happen to be into.

I don't believe I ever said "insect," "weird," or "creepy." Just because I don't want her to look human doesn't mean I want her to look bad.
Not to say looking like an insect would mean looking bad. But I'm not saying she should look like one.

Of course scales, feathers........and all kinds ofother abnormal things that completely defy and contradict what has been clearly shown would fall under both "creepy" and "weird".

You should make a poll about how many people have an insect fetish.....what do you calculate your chances are?

Most characters has rendering behind cloth and armor in various games, it's just about finding the files, usually a hex-editor is handy for such things.JRCHOharry wrote...
You'd be amazed at what people are capable of, anyway, looks like a good unmasked Tali to me. Dunno why she has wires on her forehead but im not here to complain...HexHammer wrote...
Seems like ingame rendering, not fanmade, only the visor removal seems so.

I don't know, I could pose the question to the Garrus fans.
Or I could just fall back to what I've already said in this thread:

Basically, they said all they had to do to
make a guy happy with an alien love interest was take a human, paint it
blue, made sure it had nice breasts. Since I'm making the assumption
Tali appeals to mostly guys, it would imply all they had to do was take a
human, paint it grey, make sure she has nice hips. And breasts.

No Tali face please. It will only end up causing a lot of rage. But showing a non-Tali Quarian would be fine.
Get lost you....BioWare needs to find the dude/chick that made that picture, hire him/her and implement that face....assuming it isn't a BioWare leak which it might be given the high quality and that we know nothing about its source. That would be an amazing face for Tali.....the most epic face possible.
