I don't get your point..aren't we kinda saying the same thing.....that's NOT a good representation of tali.

in and of itself the art looks pretty good...and is well done.

but that is NOT a quarian..much less Tali....

so again..I don't get your point...unless you're just blindly saying the art itself is actually bad because you don't want it to represent tali either...in which case we're saying 1/2 the same thing.

Quarians are essentially humans with three fingers and weak immune systems that wear suits.....the asari are just human females with blue skin and tentacles instead of hair. I don't get all the weird fetishes people have....like the dude who was posting earlier about how being an insect doesn't mean ugly....screw that.

how do you come up with that stupid theory...just because they're humanoid in shape doesn't mean they'll look very human at all.

look at a Salarian......try and tell me they're just humans with horns on their heads.

gtfo.

That picture is VERY close to what you see through the mask and they are likely to have human-like mouths. The only thing you could argue is skin color and patterns and eye color/texture(not shape) but that's it really. So yeah that pretty much IS a quarian and pretty darn spot on shape of what Tali's face is.....matches what we see through the mask perfectly.

Why is it so hard for people to accept that, with the exception of only three digits on their hands and feet, quarians are as humanoid in appearance as the asari? They clearly have two eyes and a humanoid nose as can plainly be seen through their facemasks, and the Ascension book reveals that they have human eyelids, lips, and teeth. The only notable difference is in their ears, which aren't elaborated on beyond simply being "different."

Quarians look like humans. You don't have to like it, but that's the way it is. End of story. So stop arguing.

EDIT: And I still subscribe to the Tali Space Elf theory.

....no..it doesn't.

if you have eyes you can see her eyes are different..and on certain close views you can see what looks like ridges on her forehead..not cybernetic implants.

so like I said..I guess a salarian is just a human with horns right?

to reiterate....gtfo

Ok first keep your insults to yourself, second you can see most of her facial features through the mask: smooth skin, perfectly normal human nose and human shaped eyes though could be glowing. Those are facts plainly visible.

Turians and Salarians are very interesting because they look nothing like humans.   "Aliens" who look like humans with face paint or with weird foreheards, they are just boring cliches.... With that said, it would be challeging for BW to create an attractive alien Tali, so they will probably opt out for a human woman with face paint....

There are no ridges on her forehead and I've looked very closely on my large TV for specifically these kinds of claims. Secondly her entire body with the exception of fingers and feet is shaped like a human's so your argument about salarians bears little to no wiight at all.

Man, some people got serious bugs up their butt about this subject.

Whether you think she should look human is irrelevant. If it's BioWare's vision that she looks human, then so be it. You're not going to convince them with brilliant arguments like "well she should look ugly cuz I h8 her" or "she should look like a bird because she has chicken feet."

That is, if they even end up showing her face at all.

Honestly, a skilled artist could take the lines given in the game and come up with something entirely different from what you're expecting.

How mature.

There isn't much room for expanding the size of her head to make different shapes, all there is to work with are her eye color and skin color and pattern.

Only if that's what you want to limit yourself to. Which I'm guessing you do.

You're not being very detailed. What are you getting at? You're not saying anything speciffic and all you gave was some obscene cartoon drawing some fool somewhere made.

It only appeared obscene at first. But the idea is that you can take very basic lines and create something that defies expectation.

But my opinion hasn't changed much from the very first post I made on this thread. The artists know that it's fairly easy to create an alien that appeals to men by essentially making it human, paint it blue, add nice breasts.

And it's my opinion that if you're going to bother with aliens, make them alien. I don't play Mass Effect to get into an alien's suit, so if Quarians looked beyond your comprehension, that's good.

Actually those drawings were rather poor attempts at hiding obscenity in a larger picture but most of the time it was still plainly obvious a man's chin or mouth could never have that shape leaving the original shape plainly obvious.....rather crappy immature pranks is all those drawings were.

Aliens can look beyond someone's comprehension without looking unattractive or out of place.

I'm a very visual person. The way Tali's personality was set up is appealing to me, but I'm going to be less inclined to like her as a character if they give her unappealing bird like features or go with the whole idea that since she has been soaked in anti-biotics all this time, that her skin would be shriveled or deformed.

I am still a firm believer that all we need to do is put Mordin to work for the duration of a mission or two and Tali would never need the suit or another antibiotic for the rest of her very long life......very long because of her newly untoucheable immune system that is. :P

Okay, the "alien" aliens all have some features that humans don't (or are missing one.) Turians, scales, no lips. Salarians, weird shaped head, no nose. Quarians have two eyes, a nose, lips, teeth, and a face proportionally similar to a human's. If we didn't know all of that, I'm sure I could buy that Tali looked completely out there alien. However, since we do know that, and since the presence of, ahem, bosoms hint that she's mammalian, Tali probably looks like what all the fanboys hope she does.
