[The Uncanny]

1. Jack.
Potent biotic. Brilliant VA. Fascinating back story. Preferred love interest.

2. Miranda.
Incredibly useful jack-of-all-trades squad member. Interesting character.

3. Zaeed.
Very handy in a firefight with a useful skill set. Really like the VA performance. Would like to find out more about the character.

4. Wrex.
First choice tank. Like the character.

5. Shiala.
Second choice biotic specialist. Potential to be subsidiary love interest.

6. Garrus.
Handy mix of skills. Great character.

7. Mordin.
Brilliant VA. Probably more useful as an NPC than in game, but still good to have around.

8. Ash.
Second choice tank.

9. Legion.
Need a tech specialist. I’ll pick Legion.

10. Kasumi.
Guessing here, obviously. But she sounds pretty cool.

The original ten ME2 squadmates. May or may not replace Jacob with a batarian, but that's only because I want a batarian team mate so badly.

So yeah. Miranda, Tali, Garrus, Thane, Grunt, Samara, Jack, Mordin, Legion, and Jacob/Batarian.

These people had dossiers for a reason. I'm not going to replace them with someone only a fraction as good or specialized as they are.

My Paragon Shepard would want these ten squadmates for the next mass effect game
Wrex- Best Krogan in the game. Also could use Clan Urdnot on my side
Ashley- need to finish out her story. Also Alliance connections
garrus- wouldnt be a mass effect game without him. Very loyal
Tali- very loyal and would need a tech
Miranda- Free from the  chains of cerberus and ready to fight. second in command
Grunt- Awesome character with room to grow and also could learn a lot from Wrex
Mordin- won me over with his catchy song and would also need a doctor on the normandy
Legion-  Didnt get to use him that much, and also could use his geth forces and skills
Samara- powerful biotic. Justicars are awesome
Jack- another powerful biotic and really liked how her character evolved throughout the story.

The ME2 cast. Wrex and Liara can do too much good where they are for me to want them as squadmates and Ash/Kaiden are jerks who aren't good for anything combat wise. If I need a biotic, I choose Samara because she is practically as strong as a matriarch. If I need a soldier I have Grunt (who I never use because if I need his concussive shot I use Garrus and I play infiltrator so I never need his incendiary ammo). Honestly, Ashley and Kaiden were the two most useless squadmates in ME1. Liara had kaiden beat because her biotics were stronger and they had identical weapon and armor specialty.



I never used Liara because on the rare occasion that I was feeling masochistic and wanted to take a biotic, I used wrex because he had better weapon training (I had a bad experience with biotics, long story).

Two of the ME1 team are already on the ME2 team, so I assume you're talking about Kaidan/Ashley, Wrex and Liara.

Wrex has better things to do with the clans on Tuchanka. I do not want him on my team for that reason. He's not a puppy to follow Shepard around wherever Shepard wills. He has responsibilites.

Liara is a very talented biotic, but she does not have the experience and training of  a Justicar or the freak raw unpredictability of Subject Zero. She also has ties to the SB that could prove more useful to Shepard as an ally and not necessarily a team mate. As far as biotic prowess goes, Samara and Jack render her redundant, but she can still be useful in other roles.

I will say that Kaidan/Ashley are a suitable replacement for Jacob, who is more or less a standard soldier with no remarkable specialty of his own. They would not be a suitable replacement for the other nine team mates, however, all of which express mastery in very specific fields.

I don't care what Miranda says, Garrus is my second in command.  He is more capable of leading a combat team than Miranda, Suicide mission be damned.  Miranda can lead a research team that much is clear, but she has never been a soldier, she doesn't understand the chain of command and she doesn't understand what it is to motivate, just look at Wilson.  If Garrus had been in charge then Wilson wouldn't have defected because the importance of the mission would have been explained to him.  He would understand why so much money was being pumped into shepard and why he wasn't getting any.  Even if he was still greedy he would also understand the consequences of defecting, namely a bullet in the brain (I know it looked like his throat but you don't drop dead from a shot to the throat, he would have been squirming and thrashing during Shepard and miranda's convo).

Garrus also isn't hated by any member of the crew.

I made sure to do a playthrough last night and shot her with the grenade launcher. 

When you do that it skips the Tali dialogue when you speak to Veetor.

Liara - LI and Shadow Broker could tie into final plot

Garrus - One of the characters that has been with Shepard since the start, also LI

Tali - Attached to Shepard, may or may not be exiled, LI

Miranda - Logistical second in command, LI

Legion - His story isn't done yet

Jacob - I find him dull, but he is an LI and not at death's door like Thane

Krogan - Either Grunt, or new guy. Would love Wrex but can't see him hopping on board in the middle of his reforms as ruler

Zaeed - So I can wax goddamn nostalgic

my list in no particular order



Jacob-i might be one of the few who actually like him...good soldier...i liked his voice.....and good option to take with u on a mission

Ashley-my favourite character in ME universe...i like girls who can shoot things and recite poems..

Wrex-ah yes..the badass krogan...always liked this char..and now he has a whole clan with him...will make a great addition for the squad

Mordin-u can't go anywhere without a good doctor on the field..and scientist...plus his VA is very good

Miranda-my favourite character in ME2...because of the VA...her skills,her attitude..both before u know her and after..and she is my second in command

Garrus-yea i like the turrian cause he is loyal and he is pretty good with sniping...don't like his motivations wich change from game to game but he is on my squad

Jack-psycho badass biotic,don't need more reasons to pick her on my team

Tali-well putting the talimancers aside..she is a good char,tech expert...and i like her chicken legs and VA(so cute)

Samara-a powerful biotic who follows your command because of the oath...yea...def. on my team

Liara-just cause she finally has a spine this time around and could actually kick ass
