To whom it may concern.
I have recently returned to playing xbox after a lone period of study. I was surprised to find that my collectors edition of Mass Effect 2 is no longer providing me with membership to the Cerberus Network.
I had purchased the Game, and linked to Cerberus through the card provided with my game copy, it worked and i was granted membership.I tried entering the details from the card again, as maybe the game somehow "forgot" i was a member of the network.
the cerberus sign up says the card code is in use(which it should as it was used by me originally)
i really dont want to buy a membership to the network when i have already been provided a working paid membership(via the collectors edition game copy's provided card)
i find this very odd.
Thank for your time and patience in this matter.
kind regards
Liam

Odd indeed.
Are you sure the Cereberus Network wasn't just down? A while back I couldn't log in either but I came back later and signed in just fine.

Try signing in to your EA account.

Do you have to be signed in to XBL to play the DLC even after downloading it? I don't have internet connection to my x box at the moment. I tried to play the DLC but nothing showed up.

If you're playing on the same console it was downloaded onto, it should play offline. DLC is tied to both the gamertag AND console.

Contact Microsoft/Live, because Bioware/EA doesn't offer support.

I am connected to the net.
I am immediately connected to the initial sign up prompt to the Cerberus network options, where I either enter a code or I spend Microsoft points to gain access.
haven't played to see if the game files work.
I can access the Cerberus network's dlc that costs money or was from a card, such as the collector armour, I haven't seen it yet in game as I haven't played.
the collector armour must be provided to me through a linked gamer tag, via EA.com's ea account, the account I tried to link to was unable because they thought my gamer tag was used by another user. I proved they had an error, and that they assigned my gamer tag to someone who didn't "own" it.
That ea account was linked to my gamer tag, through me being able to get my Collector DLC.
that ea account was also used for my spore account.
I couldn't log into that account.
when I prompted to get a new password, they said that no account with that e-mail, matches their database. I tried 20 times each, the typing was correct. no faults in the user input from my perspective.
Also , I keep getting signed out of my Bioware account, I cannot get anything done as every new page load, I am no longer signed in to the Bioware site.
For example I sign in see my profile click on a thread i wrote want to reply to what is said, cant do it. log in then taken to the box to type reply. click reply, cant do it. says I have no ""authority" or something. I log in again, am taken to my profile.
What has not gone haywire?
i find this very odd.

Looks like you have browser issues as well as the error with your EA account/gamertag has messed up your access to Cerberus.
Check to see if your browser is accepting cookies. If it is not and the popup to inform you has been turned off, you will not be aware of it.

the browser site thing doesnt bother me, its that the Account i made on EA is apparently deleted, as it is unnaccessable. very confusing.ugh.
i was thinking that the original problem was fixed though(i can download my collector dlc, so yeah, it is.) but i think something may have gone wrong while fixing that problem that made a NEW bigger problem. Very strange.and pain inducing to my mind. grah....

Game files still work, connection to Cerberus seems to have been terminated and the EA account magically lost.

yeah, this same thing is happening to me. When I load up ME2, the screen that prompts me to activate my code comes up, even though I have already downloaded most of the DLC already (not the Firewalker yet, as I can't get in). When I click continue, it justs says that it has lost contact with EA's servers and kicks me pack out to the main menu. If I press Y to connect again, the same thing happens. Let me know if anyone figures this out. I'm going to contact EA live support this weekend hopefully.

NIcky6314: i think the difference to your situation and mine is that i dont get kicked out and sent back to the menu. it just asks for my EA.account data and to sign up to the Cerberus Network, but yes it does feel a little better to know that im not the only person affected by some little oversight.

Well it just let me back in, not sure why. I popped in the game and the daily news automatically came up. I tried using EA's Online Support over the weekend, but maybe their servers were down or something as the page wouldn't load. Not sure. Maybe wait a few days and see if it works or else try contacting EA
