1) Why use twitter?  Twitter is stupid, and forcing people to register for it just to participate is kind of dumb in my opinion.

2) How do you even participate in the challenges?  On the Bioware twitter (http://twitter.com/biofeed) you see the various challenges posted.  Are you supposed to Direct Message the bioware twitter, or click the reply button?  If you click the reply button, I only see my responses, is it supposed to be like that?

Twitter is a strange beast to get familiar with if you're new to it. Just follow the instructions by adding the @Biofeed, #BioWareBazaar, and the other key thing starting with a pound sign (#MassEffect, #DragonAge, or whatever is appropriate). Then just send the tweet. They can find it from there.

Twitter can be a massively useful tool for companies trying to spread word about their product. I think off it like those cliched phone coversations that are always in montages and branch off into a bunch of boxes, but x100.

It's just a way to try to get a lot of Twitter followers, and thus, exposure.
