I hate to break it to you but there really weren't any points made by you that had any merit to them. Nice try though. It was your ignorance that ticked me off.Jalem001 wrote...

Also Jalem, I would advise against derailing thread into a political ****storm.
It was already political when I jumped in (Implications that non-Americans are holier are fun!). And its already done. I made a point, they foamed at the mouth and didn't use their words, everyone moved on.

Anyone else you're interested in American?!?!?
We didn't take them. If they so choose to come to America, what's the problem?
Oh, and no addiction21, you cannot have our waffles, i don't even think we have waffles over here, if so i havent seen any in a looong time.
Fair enough. I apologize if my post came across as confrontational.
As evidenced by this thread, insults towards America are flying about since this whole contest debacle, so I guess I'm just irritated and can't tell sarcasm and lighthearted banter from real insults. Not that they translate well on the internet anyway. Again, I apologize.

Steve Valentine became a US citizen and then:
"Typical American ignorance and arrogance. Why don't you go start another war with a tiny country so you can feel tough."
A harsh statement. Go Steve, and remember the valuable lessons about america we all learned from Borat...

Oh? You pretty much said that all Western countries have relied on the US military since WWII. That is false. As an American, I take great offense at your inability to construct an argument. Good day, sir!

Grats on becoming an American Steve!
I'm fairly certain that most countries have their own military forces...
Don't kid yourself. Ever since the end of WW2 Western Europe (And Canada) has relied upon America as a buffer of sorst. We lead the charge in any major military action. We take the hard line and we suffer the majority share of the casualities.
The only exception may very well be Great Britain.
But the EU has no foreign policy to speak of and the other Western powers work with us. Like it or not you currently rely upon us to hold the line against powers you refuse to.
