When her addiction is to killing and your choice is between killing a serial murderer/rapist and killing the cop trying to stop her, I'd say killing Morinth/helping Samara is the Paragon choice. Besides, Morinth had the chance to give up her addiction; she chose to keep killing.

"whatevs"? Oh woe is the english language...

Anyway, I'm personally inclined to believe that when she ran, that's just what she was doing; running. A 40 year old Asari is like a 13 year old human child, running away from home into a big, dangerous and scary galaxy where one could be killed, raped and any number of horrifying things. That being said, she's not a good person, obviously; still sympathy for the devil. And I still find her smile the most chilling thing I've seen from any character - observe.

If you take Morinth and Grunt to Tuchanka, you get a pretty funny exchange in the Krogan infirmary.
Morinth is obviously talking as herself and Grunt seems to know she is Morinth and not Samara.
