I also think Male shep has a better voice over, but I thought we were the minority.A lot of people think he is monotone and fem shep is better. The most recent evidence I would like to point out is the paragon ending to Overlord. Fem shep just sound annoyed, but male shep sounds like it is taking every ounce of his will power not to put a bullet in Archer's head. I seriously think that scene is one of Shep's most "This is why you don't fu** with me" scenes... and it was a Paragon shep to boot!

Yeah, dude I'm so with you on that, too. I actually saved outside of my main save so I could play Overlord again with other characters. And Shepard was pretty much like "dude, wtf? you used your own brother as a guinea pig for this?! I just got sucked into his Matrix-like dream because of you! *shoves handgun barrel in doctor's nose* Why I oughta!"
And I dont' think us MaleShep voice fans are in the minority, I think it's about even when it comes to MaleShep/FemShep. Some like to go with female because it's different from what we generally see in games/media (though that has changed drastically in recent years), and others go with the default since that is what they are familiar with in regards to the promotional art/pics and so on. I'm sure there are other reasonings behind the demographics of who/what and whatever is played however, as well.

MaleShep is about 100 times better when it comes to voice acting. The FemShep just sounds like a loud whisper.

I know Shepard is a fictional character, but the things he's done is giving Norris a run for his money.
Shepard went on a suicide mission... and survived.
Did Chuck Norris do that? O.o

Coronary Heart Disease is the second most common death among most krogans. The first is Commander Shepard.
When bad things happen to good people, it's probably fate. When bad things happen to bad people, it's probably Commander Shepard.
... and on the seventh day, Commander Shepard said "I'll take it from here."
If Commander Shepard was a Spartan, the movie would be called "1"
When visiting a new planet, if Shepard does not set off the weapons detector, security gives him a gun.

I really think it's all a matter of personal preference. I think most people who played a FemShep first think FemShep sounds better while people who played a MShep first think MShep sounds better. Personally, I didn't like the MShep voice in the first game (at least on the Paragon path), but I think he sounds a lot better in ME2.

Ive been playing both genders, through both games a crapload of late, and this is my take on it.
Renagade: FShep sounds better than MShep 80% of the time.
Paragon: MShep sounds better than FShep 80% ofthe time.
Some of the Renagade lines sounds far better with FSheps husky semi-whisper, than MShep's "I'm a pro-wrestler with a big microphone and small penis having an angry rant" shout. That said, a lot of the Paragon lines sound forced in FSheps said husky whisper, but sound more natural coming from MShep. Thats just my opinion though.
Opinions are like @rseholes. Everyone has one, and all of 'em stink.
