But w/e. What's done is done. Don't expect Bioware to change ME2. ME3 on the other hand...

this doubly insulting because they're amonia based making them giant ****** sacks
Huh? Ammonia isn't even normally present in urine, which is a means for getting rid of ammonia by converting it into urea and excreting it. However, ammonia probably wouldn't be toxic to, you know, ammonia-based life.
well i knew ammonia has something to do with urine and that's enough for me to call them giant ****** sacks (well giant by ****** sack standards anyway)
and more seriously it is some what chemicaly similar anyway

The problem with this is that it's in the Terminus systems, so even if the Alliance or Council was willing to fight the Collectors, sending a dreadnought would spark war. And Cerberus doesn't have any dreadnoughts to send.
What the hell in the Terminus Systems is so powerful? Batarians? Mercs? Geth? A bunch of pissed off Asari?
From the codex and various other sources, the Alliance fleet was bigger than the Batarians by 2160. It seems like anything else that's there would get steamrolled by the Citadel fleet without much trouble.
I've actually wondered about this myself. I mean you never see any sort of standing military, in fact Terminus is known for lawlessness, pirates and mercs. Nothing there suggests anything to rival the Alliance, much less the combined Citadel fleets. The way the Council talked in ME1 I would have thought there'd be hostile alien races not found in Citadel space, or at least some sort group of baddies capable of taking on a Citadel fleet.
That is the issue. The Codex basically says that perhaps there might be some 'entities' that may control more than one system but there really is no unified government as such. So while there is a danger it certainly is NOT on the order of the danger presented by the Reapers. Besides who rules Omega? If it is Aria then quite frankly she has a lot of reason to NOT want the Collectors around because after all it seems to have been them that let loose the plague on the station intending to wipe out her power base. But this is off the point of this whole thread. Got to work on my new motivational poster.
which is why I let them die by focusing my attention on sovereign.
