I think by shallow it's meant that they aren't actually developed enough by Bioware rather than shallow in terms of there views.

I love Chris Rock, I love Sazh from FFXIII; both are black and I like them.

I don't hate Jacob because he's black, I hate him because he's him. It's possible to dislike someone because of their personality you know

Was not meant for racist connotation. I was trying to spoof Shaft's theme song as a motivation. For the record, I like Jacob.

Iam currently playing ME1 again with a new sheploo. And I'm really amazed how the council is able to make my teeth grind (with rage) in almost every conversation with them. I'm happy I killed those bastards in my first playthrough, sadly I can't do it the second time
