right, you'd think such advanced race would use a instant hyperspace portal, and only needed minimum hypermagnetic energy to propel off of a planet's surface instead of archaic diesel engine.

Star Trek weapons and defenses are at least a couple of orders of magnitude stronger than anything Mass Effect has. Mass Effect is literally one of the weakest science fiction universes out there, right around Battlestar Galactica levels of firepower (and I'm talking the Ron Moore one, not the original).

And Shepard could just wish the Enterprise out of existence, and it would disappear. Because, really, the ME universe and the stuff that happens in it is a zillion times more believeable than ST. It just needs element zero.

eh, contact, mass effect, final fantasy, andromeda, battlestar galactica, babylon 5, avatar, star gate, 5th element, star wars, star trek... from weakest to strongest in sci fi.
