Tried it, repeatedly, but I still get the red 'x'.

I've had problems with some of my images not showing up even for me, but only on the SBN forums - I've been using imgur to host the files, so maybe I should just switch to another service that plays better with SBN.

Any recommendations?

That would depend on your hosting provider, wouldn't it? In general I'd recommend scp and rsync (depending on scope) though.

i use tinypic. ... just go to www.tinypic.com and there will be a button that says "upload" and hit that and it'll open a doodad that will show all of your computer's files. find what you want to upload and bada-bing there you go.

was that human enough? lol. i'm not so good with the techy crap either.
