Who would you have to play your favorite characters? Here's mine:

Morrigan Played by Shirley Manson
Posted Image
From the foul-mouthed. big-hearted rock star of Garbage fame to slick liquid robot terminator, Ms. Manson is the epitome of femine mystique and allure. Her extoic Scottish accent would've made Morrigan and even more interesting character, IMO.

Leliana Played by Alison Goldfrapp
Posted Image
Everyone's favorite wide-eyed innocent bard played by the UK's favorite electric minstrel. Just in case you're wondering if Goldfrapp can really act, she doesn't have to. What we wouldn't put up to hear Leliana actually SING.

Zevran Played by Jaye Davidson
Posted Image
I think the picture says everything that needs to be said. I still remeber the 1st time I saw The Crying Game...

Alistair Played by Ewan McGregor
Posted Image
He's cool. He's funny. He's good looking. Hell, I might actually LIKE Alistair if Ewan was to play him.

Wynne Played by Charlotte Rampling
Posted Image
The ultimate cougar. Except by cougar I mean mystique, slickness, and deadly sexy. Wynne desperately needs an edge, and Ms. Rampling certainly has it.

Orghen Played by Danny Devito
Posted Image
Ideally we should have him play a troll. But since that's probably not gonna happen, we'd have to settle for a drunk dwarf that farts alot.

Sten Played by Stellan Skarsgard
Posted Image
Well, we all know Stellan can play ALMOST anything, and there are few big brutish actor out there whose intensity and overall coolness matches that of his. Just don't make him do the dreadlock. Please.

Loghain Played by Jeremy IronsPosted Image

Ooh... *shivers*

I thought about that briefly, having Shirley as Leliana and Helena Bonham Carter as Morrigan:

But on second thought Shirley's persona probaly fits better with Morrigan than Leliana. People wouldn't buy it if that redhed Scottish terminator all of a sudden shows up as a (almost) virginal Leliana don't you think?

Antonio Banderas for Zevran. Can't believe nobody said it already.

EDIT: Oh, and Johnny Depp as Sandal.

Why have anyone else play Morrigan when there's Claudia Black who already voiced the character so brilliantly? :)

whoever played Aragorn in Lord of the Rings shouldplay Duncan or Logain.

but there is also a problem with this idea..................

which origin would they pick? (probably the human noble, which irks me.)

Assuming everyone can do an English accent, I'm not too sure on actors other than these ones.

Loghain-Paul Michael Levesque (Triple H)
Alistair-Brad Pitt
Duncan-Rigo Mortenssen [spelling] (Aragorn from LOTR)
Leilana-Elisha Cuthbert
Morrigan- lets use Megan Fox as placeholder till i come up with someone better

These are somewhat based on what I think looks like the character they should play. Triple H's character has a similar vibe as Loghain imo. Also Elisha Cuthbert would make a cute redhead :D

If I could pick any actors, I would pick (I know some of them are old/whatever, but this is more of a fantasy type thing, so just think of them at their perfect age for the role):

The Warden: From the Urn of Sacred Ashes trailer, I would say Russel Crowe (Gladiator Age) fits perfectly.

Alistair: Val Kilmer (Willow Age)

Duncan: Viggo Mortenson (LoTR Age)

Morrigan: Of course Claudia Black (Any age she is still hot)

Leliana: Reese Witherspoon don't know, though. (Any age as well she is still hot)

Loghain: Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner Age)

Arl Eamon: Kirk Douglas (Spartacus Age; just give him a beard lol)

Sten: Javier Bardem (No Country Age) (don't know how they will make him giant, though)

Zevran: Antonio Banderas (Assassins Age)

Bann Teagan: Sean Bean (LoTR Age)

Zathrian: Kevin Spacey (Usual Suspects Age)

Howe: Tim Curry (Congo Age)

Kolgrim: This is Sparta! Gerard Butler (300 Age)

Take my casting with a grain of salt, though. I don't know how to cast just giving my best opinion lol.

Just a couple of suggestions for Morrigan's role. B)

I think either Shannon Sossamon:

...Or Cote De Pablo:

Though the already suggested Helena Bonham Carter would be awesome too.

Not that keen on putting singers or other celebrities onto big film roles, especially if they don't have serious prior acting experience - it's kinda hit and miss whether it works.

Here is a picture of the Grey Warden with his Mabari...
I also believe Charlize Theron should dye her hair and play Leliana...

H*LL NO!

Jason Statham was already horrible in Dungeon Siege. He ruined one of my favorite PC games. I would pick Elijah Wood to play the Warden before this guy.

Claudia Black as Morrigan. Easy choice really considering that she is one of the best SciFi actresses ever.

It would be pretty fun if the Movie was as bugged as the game. Memory crash half way through the movie causing it to restart.

I totally agree with the Jaye Davidson thing especially because of Stargate when he played Ra and yes I have examples!

We need better candidates for Allister, I mean c'mon Brad Pitt? Val Kilmer? Have you even seen these two lately? No offense Val, but your packing on some weight, and Brad, your a good actor but you aren't that funny. Allister needs someone in their mid 30s with a sense of humor and a noble look to them. :)

Now, I can get behind Alistair being played by Ewan McGregor!

So you would rather see her played by some glamour model hoe than the rather attractive, capable actress who voiced her?

Edit: Also, Gaider has already said that Banderas is way too old to play Zevran :)

(Some of the actors would need to wear contact lenses and have their hair colored or wear a wig , but these are the actors I picked.)

Ben Barnes as Alistair.
Posted Image

Paul Bettany as Cailan.
Posted Image

Ian Mcshane as Duncan.
Posted Image

Clive Owen as Riordan.
Posted Image

Joanna Kerns as Wynne.

Anyone who used to watch Stargate SG1 already knows that the perfect Sten would be:

Posted Image

Christopher Judge!

He already knows how to play the terse/honour driven warrior type.  And he's pretty big and beefy.

It's typecasting the poor guy but hey, he's good at that kind of role.
