Right before i storm the castlein Origins i make sure my storage chest from Wardens Keep is cleared out so that i can bring some gear for the new party members with me. Some stuff will not move into Awakenings like the Warden's Keep gear which is weird as the Stone Prisoner stuff will you figure. But this also allows me to stock up on some gold when i move to Awakenings if i just sell the entire inventory to anyone.
As for money since the console trick does not work in Awakenings, or at least i have not been able to get it to work yet, just before i face the crowd in Origins i "runscript zz_money 9000000", twice then save and face the crowd. You can not get to much money in Origins or is does funny stuff to the game like will totally remove the Wardens keep from the game even if you have it enabled it is important that you do this at the last possible moment in Origins. Yea i know, but i wanted to play with the new stuff and rune crafting is quite expensive so that is really all you need the money for as you have stated most of the best gear is drops, except for suprise suprise the mage stuff. I want to enjoy the story and not really have to worry about money which if i had some way to work an economy i would rather do that but as i do not i just runscript in Origins import the rich save and not worry about it.

I find I always have 100+ gold even after buying stuff. I found some of Herren's stock to be pretty good, in particular some Tier 9 Armour which cost me 155 gold (I can't remember its name
).

I was a dual-wield rouge, and made a sh*tload of expert and master runes, and yet I finished the game with around 300 soverigns. I haven't made too many grandmaster (or better) runes, since my party was already overpowered.
So yeah, I also think that you get too much gold in Awakening.

Nah i beat it many times without the glitching i do it because by the time you get all your skills and attributes perfect and your ready to own the game ends.

yeah but when you are accessing the console system like that isn't that modding, so from what I hear or am I wrong? because if I am not mistaken changing your console like that is illegal and breaches the lawful use of the console is it not?
On the other hand will have to check out making items again (those in particular), maybe my math was wrong I thought I figured all those out, but then again if I remeber that was a lot of figuring my head hurts just thinking about it again.
BTW: is there somewhere you can buy bloodlotus did I miss that as well, or is it a find only item?
