Ditto. The game seemed to run fine as version 1.0 (from a technical standpoint). I downloaded patch 1.01 and ran it and it said it installed fine. Now, from the launcher, I'm unable to start the game. (And, I haven't figured out a work around yet). It appears a lot of people are having the problem but I haven't seen a solution yet. See the "official" thread above.

Have you tried creatinf a shortcut on your desktop of the game exe file to bypass the launcher?

god will this nightmare of stupid people never end. There is a known issue where the patch used a different version of the Microsoft Visual. Go download it. Here I will even edit you a ****ing link in you lazy bastards. Give me 30 seconds to find it since you can't be bothered to.

Download the x86 version no matter if your system runs a 64 bit processor or not. The game runs as a 32bit app on all machines so you need to use the x86 for 32bit applications.
Wow took me less then a minute to fix it for you. Learn to help yourselves a little.

Considering I and others have posted this fix over 100 times now? No learn to go look. The answers have been out there since an hour after the patch rolled out genius.Falcon737 wrote...

Problem is we don't have any mods making this stuff Stickies. That and the search doesn't work so the problems that are fixed get buried quickly.

Dateranoth you just gave me an idea. I am gonna add the fix as a signature to my forum account for now. That allows a simple "see sig" for the fix.
