I swear, the only reason why we have these threads is because both developers start with the letter B. Seriously, what is with the letter B these days?

I'll vote for Bioware! ^^

I've played Blizzard games longer (Warcraft II FTW!) but Bioware has oh oh so much better story!

Don't forget to tweet to get a second vote! Simply Tweet the following to get a vote in (or if you don't want to register for the Escapist).

@TheEscapistMag I voted for @biofeed in Round 5 of The Escapist's March Mayhem: http://bit.ly/bJf91c #escMM.

Edit note: Bit.ly goes to the right page now.

Huh.. from some good old days when I was a child and had English in my elementary school in Brazil:
Then - refers to an early in time event (então, in portuguese)
Than - refers to comparison (mais ou menos "do que")

Hard to forget those lovely teachers to whom I paid great attention but I have to admitt I was smarter then than I am now.

Now, it's real hard to decide between my two favorite devs. I wouldn't be gaming today if Diablo never existed! I wouldn't love RPG's if Baldur's Gate never existed. Since BG actually thanked Blizzard for Diablo (in BG credits IIRC), which gave them the inspiration to base the game in a sidestory about the time when the Prime Evils walked the Earth, I'd go for Blizzard. Plus Starcraft where I met the other GT's and of course, Diablo 2 which could have made me rich if I had ever e-bay'ed my 40 elite-item-carrying mules. I just loved it all and traded for other elite items... before all the duping started on Bnet.

On the other hand, with NWN mplayer, BioWare gave me more than 5 years of an amazing RP experience which introduced me to Tolkien and made me quite a fanatic elf about it. No, didn't read LotR when I was a kid, for which I'm thankful. I wouldn't be able to read it in the original at that time. Or feel compelled to learn some Sindarin to rp my epic elven archer in some amazing LotR Permanent Worlds.

Hmm... guess that* for really pulling me into Fantasy Land where I was taught what RP really means, my vote is Bioware's!

Yeah, because no support, sub-par DLC, epic community event nonsense, expansion-labeled premium modules at full-game prices, and patches that break games are totally the best thing since sliced bread.

Tough matchup. It's an utterly pointless internet poll though so I won't mill over it for too long :P

In terms of games that have kept me playing the most and given me the most enjoyment I'd have to go for Blizzard.

I'm not flaming you here Varenus, but I am genuinely curious why you hang out here on these forums when I've yet to see you post anything positive about Bioware and it's products.  I mean hell, I'm not a fan of Bethesda but I don't poke sticks at them I just stay away.  Again not a flame, just was wondering.

Right your looking at prjects to complain, socialize by saying "Any revolutions?". Sounds more like regular trolling to me.

What is this US vs Canada thread or something?

RPG=Bioware greater than Blizzard.

RTS=Blizzard greater than Bioware.

Multiplayer=Blizzard greater Bioware

MMO=Blizzard greater than Bioware

So I'd have to vote Blizzard greater than Bioware.

None RPG;s have story, character development and gameplay.

But to say the truth the whole "who's better" depends on the person.

I prefer BioWare but that's me.

And I do see Blizzard dominating in the poll. Call it a guess

Part of mixed genre I see. But they are RPG elements.

I don't know, Brood War's story was ridiculously engaging, especially for an RTS.
And I choose to remain neutral in this conflict. Blizzard and BioWare happen to be among my favourite developers, so I don't see the point in voting. It's like choosing which newborn you want to keep.
If I do vote, I might just go with BioWare though. Blizzard's official forums are full of IQ-damaging idiocy, retardation and blatant stupidity. We see some of that here, but not as much. Then again, I've pulled in hundreds of hours of SC as opposed to my 182 hours of Mass Effect 1.
