But Lilihierax didn't have face paint, and he was a stand-up dude. :)

He had a jersey accent, I liked him.

Getting lost on Illos and doing laps around the map. Killing the crazed colonist in charge of running water or w/e on Feros and realizing I can't flip a valve myself to complete the quest... I have bad aim...

ME2 Dancing... I mean... really....

And the bad one-liners like... I'm going to dance here, if you wanna think we're dancing together go ahead... *dances like an idiot*

Or my favorite: How about goodbye.

I'm not even sure what this last one means... there seems to me to be no lead up... I think the implants are making me dumb and even less coordinated than I used to be

Realizing, on my third playthrough, that the "vent technician" during the first leg of the suicide mission, can be seen progressing through the transparent tube above you and to your left, the whole way through.

Initally, I thought it was Collector troops being deployed to join the fight:

"Oooh, that's a nice touch. You can see Collectors milling about in the tubes"

and, a moment later...

"Whoops! Scrath that. It's Legion."

Sometime, I just forget to look up.

Also, on my first playthrough of ME1, it took me forever to find my way back to the C-Sec elevator that led up to the Normandy so I could get the Hell off the station. Off to a brilliant career as an elite defender of galactic stability, eh...

Scanning every single planet for every scrap of mineral, thinking it would at least give an achievement or some kind of crazy significance.

Ordering drinks for about 10 minutes at the upstairs Omega bar expecting something special to happen.  After waking up on the floor of the Dark Star, getting beer/mystery drink goggles at Eternity, and poisoned downstaris in Omega, I was convinced every bar had a "special" event....and that surely there would be a joke achievement for being a total alcoholic <_<....my Shepard developed new coping methods for stress after dying once....

Lol this, plus the fact that there are several comically-dramatic "significant looks" exchanged between the warden and Shepard/your party.  Every Purgatory playthrough after the first one has made me feel like a total chump for not anticipating it the first time.

Gavorn was hired by Aria to keep the vorcha out of her site. You first hear of him while going to visit Kenn the Qurian. After recruiting Mordin go talk to Gavorn in front of Afterlife he will comment on how he heard a human went down in the quarantine zone and there was a lot of dead vorcha down there, he asked if you had anything to do with that... you can either deny the claim or live up to it depending if you want paragon or renegade points.

I always seemed to get lost on Ilos or at the Exo Geni base on Feros.

Pressing an activation point in the Normandy's cockpit in ME2 for about 5 minutes expecting to receive a Codex entry before finally realizing that it opened and closed the shutters.

In ME1 i definitely thought that the thorian creepers were the colonists and used up all my grenades on them.

For me it was scanning 90% of the planets to depletion only to realise I didn't need hundreds of thousands of minerals and had just wasted 5 hours of my life. Realising Urdnot was a clan, not Wrex's name didn't really make me feel stupid, there was no indication of that in ME1 if i recall correctly.

Lol, I did this too. Then I realized I was supposed to shoot them and reloaded my save.

Li does have face paint, it's just very faint.

using cain against the occulus, i didn't notice how stupid it was until blast radius killed me, then i thought about it and realized how smart it is to fire a nuke inside my own ship.

and believing grunt could lead fire team, i don't know what i was thinking, only guessed that they would offer me the option to choose fire team leader again because keeping Garrus suddenly becomes reconsidered for some reason (which i discovered happens to be no reason)

Getting the staircases on Feros mixed up and constantly getting lost while going back and forth between different parts of the mission. Getting turned around on Therum at the bits where you open the gates, and thus accidentally driving a long way back the way I came without noticing. Not realising I had to manually open a gate on Virmire so I milled around for a while wondering where to go. Spending ages finding the security console in Illos to get out of the armature repair room. Never noticing the mass relay monument (some time I'll have to find that...). Not realising that I could get extra missions if I went to the trouble of talking to my squad (this also led to a lot of failed dancing attempts).

Saves all the colonists first try though :D
In ME2 one was "maybe I should have tried out this Adrenaline Rush thing before the IFF mission, it's actually pretty fun". Oh and I mistakenly thought that when that heavy mech wasted those Quarians that Tali was dead and so I replayed that bit once or twice until I realised she was inside, because I had thought it was possible to not get her on my squad if I did something wrong.

Then there's the times when I thought "Hey, it's a cutscene, I can relax my hand and take it away from the mouse... ahh, a paragon action dangit!" Had to go back to get the ParagonTaliHug. Ooops.

[edit]Oh, and the only time I tried to use Cain I had like half heavy weapon ammo.  "Hmm, I guess it doesn't work."  On the Reaper IFF mission.  Took the arc projector on that the next time, and decided to save it until the final wave of husks.  And then because I was messing around with Adrenaline Rush (see above) I didn't noticed I was on the last wave until I'd killed them all!

Nothing ever made me feel particularly stupid, but I have to say my Shepard must have thought so when he attempted to dance at the Dark Star, and only managed what looked like a bored man shuffling his feet.

On my first playthrough (before ME2 even came out) letting the Rachni queen go. I thought "oh crap. This is going to come back to bite me in the ass." Then I played ME2 and that message delivered through the asari changed my mind.

Missed the Human Reaper with a Cain shot.

Also when I couldn't figure out how to exit the Mako to open those doors on Therum in ME1, because the game never really TELLS you how to do that...

I only found out on Virmire that the Mako's main gun shot missiles. I kept on thing to myself "Why did the Alliance give me such a ****** poor gun.

The whole romancing stuff just felt so chessy and weird.  Guess its not idiotic, but it is still some feeling I have that makes me think "why am I doing this..."

Awww, half an hour spent studying images/videos to confirm the turian anatomy and I got beaten to it.  But yeah, he either has the most subtle white face paint or the shiniest face ever.

Also: not my own, but my friend's dumb moment where he found out almost too late that he WASN'T immune to the purge on Noveria: "alright, most of the rachnis are dead so I'm safe, time to sit back and wait out the timer... wait what do you mean I'll die too? OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIII--*dashes to elevator with 10 seconds left*-IIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET"

I didn't get the significance of face paint but walking into Purgatory I had every expectation and intention of shooting my way out. I was privileged to be surprised by Jack not being a guy (yay for lack of spoilers!) but that wasn't a stupid moment :D

One semi-stupid moment was "You mean something interesting would have happened if I'd bothered to find and talk to that Conrad guy again?" Cos I never saw him beyond the first time as I avoided elevators in favour rapid transit to save time, after the first several elevator trips.

Beating ME1 10+ times over the past year +, loving the sniper rifle, usually having sniper adepts, and just finding out this month from a forum post you could zoom in to a higher zoom with the sniper rifle. I knew about the first site but didn't know you could press e(on pc) to get a higher zoom......dang, now the sniper rifle is even better!!!!
