SPOILER (just in case)

Getting to my crew on the Collector ship on my first playthrough , in time to see them melt. The reason for me taking my time : I was buying fish , scanning planets and talking to random people , sight-seeing basically. Ouch.

The moment I felt like an idiot was when the game (ME2) crashed after Kasumis loyalty mission, and I had to turn of the computer. Woe and behold, when I start the game after restarting my computer, all my achievements are gone.

During my first playthrough of ME1 and I didn't know where the meeting of the council was. I went to the Citadel Tower but then after the conversation Garrus had with that Turian I turned the opposite direction and ran around in circles for about 4hrs doing side quests. Only to finally realize where the council meeting took place.

Also getting lost on Illos everytime I do an ME1 playthrough I can never figure out where to go.

The first time I played ME1 after I unlocked the security door I ran around Illos looking for the Mako when it was right infront of me.

Not realizing the "vas dehfranz" joke in Tali's loyalty mission until someone pointed it out on the forums.

Discovering that medi-gel not only revives dead squadmates but can also heal you if you're low health.  *facepalm*

Lolwut?

Oh for god's sake. I'm a retard. I'm currently on my fifth playthrough and I always thought that the Trauma Module upgrade lets you revive your team members to full health. Like when it's not installed, they would only gain 75% of their health upon reviving. But indeed, it actually lets you heal yourself (and your squad mates). Dammit.

RIGHT NOW I'm feeling like a giant idiot. Thousands playthroughs, only to find out now.

So, you still haven't realized the "vasectomy" joke, yet?

First try on the suicide mission, thinking just because I had their loyalty, they'll survive. (R.I.P Mordin, Grunt, and.....well, I guess Jacob)

It took me a few playthroughs before I found out I could cycle outfits through the Squad button in the menu. I didn't have to go down to a planet to do this at the party member choosing page... which I used for the first several games.

Every time my Shepard says: But I thought the Protheans vanished 50,000 years ago!
On ME1 it's okay but ME2? dude I was here for the last game, and even if I wasn't why would Shepard act dumb?

In ME1 getting about half way done the game before realizing the Mako had a cannon. Also, hitting random keys trying to figure out how to exit the Mako.

In ME2 finding the bathroom by mistake—near the end of my second playthrough. And not realizing that there where shutter controls in the cockpit until I watched a video on youtube where the guy started fooling around with them near the end of the video.

I can top that, even. Somebody actually posted a screenshot of that line in the motivational thread and I, not realizing such a joke was already present, said "Well at least he's not considering transferring to the deferens", thinking myself reasonably clever.....until I got slammed with the force of my own stupid.

when I first saw that the geth bodys were shaped like the quarians bodies and I just though "how the **** did I miss that"

It did not really make me feel dumb but when I saw harbinger was a reaper controlling the collector general I was like oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Romancing Tali despite her being a nigh-stalker with a crush and then realizing how wrong and self-destructive it felt. This being long before I started to hate her. In fact, it may have started it all.

How shooting a giant robot in the eye with a pistol will kill it or how shooting a giant robot in the face with a nuke won't kill it.

Realizing that playing Mass Effect 2 overhwhelms my 360 and TV with awesomeness which resulted in a massive explosion that destroyed my home, and seventy city blocks. The game really does have a Mass Effect Core, what do you know!

That should help in the event you don't know how to fix it.

I'm not sure if this counts, but the first genophage conversation with Wrex (ME1) made Shepard look like a giant idiot. :(

But you sort of get Wrex back in ME2 when he says how useful a redundant nervous system is when getting spaced.

Realizing, on my third playthrough, that the "vent technician" during the first leg of the suicide mission, can be seen progressing through the transparent tube above you and to your left, the whole way through.

Initally, I thought it was Collector troops being deployed to join the fight:

"Oooh, that's a nice touch. You can see Collectors milling about in the tubes"

and, a moment later...

"Whoops! Scrath that. It's Legion."

Sometime, I just forget to look up.

Also, on my first playthrough of ME1, it took me forever to find my way back to the C-Sec elevator that led up to the Normandy so I could get the Hell off the station. Off to a brilliant career as an elite defender of galactic stability, eh...

You put Legion in there? how dare you!  Throw Tali in there, it's what I always do, right after I reject her!
