So I'm quite a long way into the game now... And I got a nasty bug here.

It seems entering Denerim's Market District is causing the saved games to become corrupt. Any saves made in this place cannot be loaded (CTD of the game). Saving outside of the city or even in any of the buildings (like the Smithy) is ok. Even after entering and leaving the district. So far I try to just save in the camp or in a building, but I'm pretty sure I'm messing something up this way...

Anyone had the same thing? I did pick some odd conversation options along the way and switched sides a couple of times, perhaps.

------------------below are some spoilers as to what I did manage to do in the game to get this point.

Seems I did the following
1) Freed the Redcliffe from the demon succubus thing  - by making the mother kill the kid... 
2) Still no urn... Was going to the city to talk to a guy about it
3) Broken the werewolf curse and persuaded the Dalish to join in.
4) Restored the golem forge and made the dwarves elect the... um... not the son of the king.
5) Killed Flemeth. <-doing/not doing this has no influence on the crash, checked
6) Romanced Morrigan.
7) Never been to the city before.

Just something to try. This worked for me, but my crash in Denerim may not be the same as your crash in Denerim. Note that this also works for the (in)famous crashes in Ostagar and Lothering.



Prior to trying to load a save, open the video options, and reduce the three sliders as low as they go, and turn off frame-buffering or post-processing or whatever it's called. The check box beneath the sliders, uncheck it.

SAME EXACT PROBLEM FOR ME, every save in Denerim gets corrupted. I have no idea why. I will try the frame buffering fix and see if it works. :/

I have a problem with corrupt saves as well. So far I thought it had something to do with level or gametime. It has always occured at level 15 and after 45 hours or something like that.

It happens both on patch 1.02b and 1.03



When reading this topic I realised that it always occur in Denerim. I can't say for sure if it always occur outdoor.



I'm at the moment testing if it will also occur without the dlc's installed. I don't think it will do the big difference however.
