I would like it a lot better if it would actually play right, lol.  Oh well, I knew it probably wouldn't be compatible with Windows 7 before I installed it.  I really like it.  LOL, I'm going around collecting all these "romance cards" for Geralt.  Hehe, that guy really gets around.  The potion thing is interesting too once you get used to it.  The music for it is awesome.  Really eerie.

Hmmm, maybe I'll have to get a hold of it somehow! :3 I'll most likely check out the second installment whether I play the first or not though.

Me and Am are messing around with it now. I just want the cards. It's kinda strange but it's a gotta have em all mentality. Pokemon did this to me.

Oh I am so excited about the second one!  The 3D models for the second Witcher look so much better than on the first game and apparantly you even get to have a party on the second game, something I really missed on the first one.  But still the first one is definitely worth playing.

I know, LOL.  It does feel kind of strange.  Fortunately, I have the American version where the cards are apparantly much tamer than the rest of the world got.  And that's fine by me since I didn't care to see a bunch of naked women anyway, lol.  Though collecting the cards is kind of fun.  After all, our sexy Witcher does have a reputation.


Edit: Though I just got that Witch's card in the first village and let me just say.........creepy.

I felt like I had to uphold Geralts reputation

I know...when I first saw the witch chicks card I was like

The blood was just weird, and my game was patched with the directors patch thingy so there was a bit of nudity. Mostly boobs, but meh, I've got a pair too nothing new.

A female Witcher would be cool for that very reason, but it wouldn't go along with the story. Besides I like gawking at Geralt too much, hehe.

The Witcher is an AWESOME RPG though. I can't recommend it enough to anyone who likes deep, multi-faceted characters, intriuging plot twists, and dark, gritty, morally-ambiguous worlds. I can see how being forced to play as Geralt could turn off a lot of players though. My ex couldn't play ANY RPG where she had to play as a man, for instance.



On the KotOR series: KotOR 2 had a LOT of initial promise. I found its characters more compelling and fascinating than the first game, but man, does the ending SUCK. Obsidian has a frequent problem of screwing up the endings of the games it makes. >.> In that sense, KotOR 1 was a better experience.

Lol its funny that you mention female witchers, in the book ciri Geralts ward is trained by the witchers for a while(she also got mage training). ciri was badass if you havn't read the books i really recommend them .

You know West, I've really been wanting to read the Witcher books.  I think since the new game is coming out next year that's definitely something I need to do, so I'll know the backstory to the games.

*snickers*  Warlocker, LOL.  As long as our female "warlocker" doesn't look like Vaska from the swamp.   Omg, now that's one card I'm glad Geralt didn't get.

Yeah, I mean, I feel that way too.  I don't really care either way.  And Kerridan just showed me one of the cards with that patch and it wasn't as bad as I was thinking anyway.  Heck, I thought it would be like a Penthouse pic or something and it's just boobs - no big deal. But now if there's a lot of blood added to the game......not sure I want that aspect added to the game.  I already gross out enough when someone's lopped-off head rolls down the street.  I mean, ewww.



Edit: And I wanted to throw my love for Carth into the KOTOR discussion.  Ahh, Carth.  My first digital love, LOL.
Kerridan, you should definitely play KOTOR.  I didn't know a thing about Star Wars when I played it, but I had fun anyway.  I did mention the pretty sparkly lightsabers to you already, LOL.  Oooh, shiny. Mine was always purple.
