A continuation of a popular thread from the old boards, post six random, interesting bits from the lives of your favorite Shepards. They can be related to anything in their lives, either before ME1 or during the course of the two games. I'll start things off...
Kiria Shepard, Infiltrator, Colonist/War Hero:
1. Nearly became addicted to the "pink mist" during N7 training, before realizing that other species bled different coloured blood.
2. Earned a reputation during officer training for being a nightmare at the poker table.
3. Read Star Wars novels as a little girl, and always admired Han Solo and Leia Organa.
4. Once attempted to write a VI based on Carrie Fisher.
5. Once met an asari commando during her time as a 1st Lt. aboard the SSV Chicago, as part of a multicultural training deployment.
6. Returned to Mindoir and visited Elysium not long after destroying the Collector base.
Diana Shepard, Adept, Colonist/War Hero:
1. Killed her first sentient being during the batarian raid on Mindoir, not long after watching her family die.
2. Had anger management issues that became particularly acute during officer training, when she nearly washed out after getting into an argument with fellow trainees.
3. Originally wanted to be a fighter pilot.
4. Likes to use her biotics to paint ceiling murals.
5. Is an avid reader of history, both of Earth and of the various Council races.
6. Likes quarian music.

Gordon Shepard (paragon soldier, my first character played straight through from ME1 to ME2):
1. Wishes he could have the new Normandy repainted in blue
2. Has no sense of direction
3. Was confused when Ashley continually went on about showing her dance moves if she was off duty, because he never let his team off duty.
4. Shrugged and moved on when his fish died. Was equally unmoved by Liara's preoccupation with the Shadow Broker because he only ever talked to her for a few minutes and she thought he was a hallucination. It's not like she was ever on his squad or anything. Though her rehashing her mother's "Asari commando unit" line was a little scary.
5. Joined the military because he wanted to see new and interesting things. He didn't expect to see anything as bad as the larval human reaper though. Or anything as great as Tali's face.
6. Still gets nauseous when he hears the word 'Mako'. (Lost his breakfast the first few times he was deployed from orbit. And that wasn't the worst of it.)

2. Has never had a pet before, so cannot comprehend why the fish died and the space hamster lives on.
3. Never learned handwriting. What is this pen thing?
4. Is an expert pickpocket and hustler. Yeah, that's right, she steals all those creds by bumping into people outside of the Sirta Foundation store.
5. Finds looking through a scope of a sniper rifle to be incredibly relaxing.

2. Wanted to get a party at the Normandy but Anderson didn't allow it.
3. Placed a requisition order to expand the normandy's vehicle bay to have a fighter squadron placed within the normandy as a extra layer of defense.
4. Wanted to pay the Normandy 2 black. Figure it would do better against visual scanning.

1. She enjoys cooking; being raised on a ship means that actual food was a luxury when she was growing up (usually reserved for when her parents were trying to get over a fight). She considers anything that doesn't come with a utensil attached to be gourmet.
2. Has a thing for aliens in general, though she's sticking with Garrus.
3. The Skyllian Blitz happened when she was on shore leave; ever since, she's refused to leave her weapons behind for any break or vacation.
4. A damned good negotiator; some people say she could even talk an AI to death.
5. Of course, some problems can only be solved by punching a batarian in the face. She is okay with this.

1. Recently signed his life story to Warner Brothers in a multi-million credit movie deal. Rumor has it, he did this because he was sick of opening crates all over the place to get his upgrades.
2. Forgets to check his email all the time. This became tragic when he saw Ashley's apology only AFTER he'd had a tumble in the engine room with Miranda.
3. Likes when bartenders put more stuff in the thing that more stuff goes in.
4. Is generally a good person, although he enjoys messing with people and cracking wise. (Generally chooses the renegade options when they seem more quippy, paragon when choices are actually being made)

6. Recognizes the Illusive Man's voice from somewhere but just can't place it.

1) In his rare moments of downtime (stopping the reapers is very time-consuming) , enjoys playing extranet videogames. Frequently pesters Garrus to play with him.
2) Is a collector of both antique and modern weapons; swords in particular fascinate him.
3) Listens to a vid-mail from his mother every night (reminds him what he is fighting for)
4) Is not very tech-savvy. As a result of this embarrassing weakness, is currently being tutored by Tali.
