Atticus Shepard - Earthborn, Ruthless, Engineer, Renegade

1) A mechanical genius whose knowledge of machines is surpassed by only the most experienced of Quarians. Many view his choice to enlist in the military as "wasted potential".
2) If being a self-proclaimed genius was not enough, is also the son of Sirta Foundation's vice-president. As such, he is an arrogant, greedy, manipulative, egotistical, and incredibly self-centered.
3) Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.
4) Does not attempt to hide his racism, believing that aliens will be behind humanity's downfall. Believes eradicating all signs of intelligent life is the only way to safeguard humanity's future.
5) Fan of classical music, art, and literature. His personal collection (regularly maintained and looked after by the best of professionals) puts museums to shame.
6) Uses his profession as a soldier as an excuse to hide his savage tendencies.

1. Got scars from Akuze, two on his lips and one on his back. He's regretted losing his squad mates ever since and will do anything to save them in the future.
2. Whenever he's bored he'll go around the ship and ask if anyone needs help.
3. He trusts Garrus and Tali more than anyone, and has taken them both with him on the final battles.
4. Loves Tali and would do anything for her.
5. Listens to music all the time, listened to I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire during Grunt's loyalty mission.
6. Loves space and exploring it, always wanted to command his own ship since he was a child.

1- Prefers to solve problems with minimal violence.
2- Is fascinated by alien cultures, especially the asari.

4 -She never drinks, except on those occasions when she wakes from nightmares about Mindoir or Akuze.
5- Enjoys space travel but prefers keeping her feet on the ground.
6- Named her space hamster Wrex.

Judith Shepard - Earthborn/Ruthless

1- Solves problems in the most efficient/practical way possible.
2- Has all the emotional sensitivity of a boot in the arse.
3- Would challenge Jack to a biotic fight if the outcome wasn't likely to be her own death.
4- Likes to stare out at space from the observation decks when no one's around.
5- Is secretly very fond of Joker.
6- Is terrible at taking care of her multiple dead fish, and the immortal hamster.

[Last Vizard]

Keith Shepard, Adept, war hero, colonist and a Paragade
1) Strategy game god among his friends however he can't beat some guy called Legion yet.

2) Had a headache when waking up dead after the Collector ship attacked the Normandy.... Adept powers are Nerfed until hopefully Keith can find Aspirin during his trial on Earth for destroying a relay and killing 400,000 slavers.

3) Forbids Rap music on all his ships and plays Metal, Rock or Techno over the speaker systems.

4) Understands that allies are potential enemies and enemies are potential allies.... therefore he knows that it will be every species for themselves when the Reaper threat is gone.

5) Doesn't lose sleep over "letting the council die" and sees it as punishment for their incompetence.

6) Recently taken a liking to RPG games, playing Mage characters makes Shep remember what his Adept powers were like before he got this damn headache that makes him feel like nothing but a lesser soldier.

Nadrya Shepard / Colonist / Ruthless

1) Unconsciously became ruthless after the Batarian raid on Mindoir, was fueled to bring justice to those responsible by a strong desire of vengeance, something that she can't fully admit to this day.

2) Originally never thought for a second to one day enlist in the military before the raid on Mindoir, wanted to study either archeology or psychology. The unexpected turn of events in her life during and after the Mindoir raid constantly reminds her of what her mother often told her: «Some individuals do what they shouldn't be doing, and others aren't doing what they should do...», realizing that nothing happens for nothing, she accepted that to defend the innocent and bring justice to the guilty then enlisting in the military had to be done, and that she might have been doing something else, something that wouldn't have been for her had the raid not occurred, she considers her life's path her destiny.

3) She never experience a single personal relationship until years after the events on Mindoir, while being in the military. She had almost always been the "independent" type, appreciating it that way, never really understood the benefits of working as a team at school for any projects, nor was particularly interested to attend to "social" events when she had free time. She mostly spent her free time helping her parents, discussing psychology with her mother, and archeology with her father. She had few friends, but very good ones whom she met and kept as friends since her infancy, most of which were from local settlements and suburbs. After losing her parents and all her friends she literally became orphan on all senses of the word.

4) She had a few occasions to meet most (though not all) of the known alien species, some on Mindoir in various occasions (mostly when going to the main settlement's market with her parents, where a few aliens, mostly Volus, owned boutiques and small services centers), most being a few weeks after enlisting in the military. She is fascinated by the Asari in general, but never expresses it loudly either to humans or other aliens, including any Asari.

5) Her favorite hobbies are reading scientific and social/cultural studies, reports and encyclopedias, reading about psychology (human and Asari, mostly) or archeology (fascinated about pre-historic evidence of wild life on Mindoir and Earth alike, she also likes studies and discoveries related to Earth's dinosaurs). Additionally, she likes trying exotic/alien cuisine from time to time, mostly cooking the meals herself (not without the help of cooking guides however, and she manages well), occasionally going at restaurants, some of the best ones she tried happens to be on the Citadel. She loves to keep herself in shape, and thus always appreciates working out, doing basic cardiovascular-related exercises.

6) Her only true love in her life is Liara. Everything just perfectly fit and happened at the perfect timing in her (Shepard's) life. She sees Liara as part "herself" when she was younger on Mindoir and "part parents" as Shepard puts it. She greatly enjoys discussing archeology with her (Liara), which reminds Shepard of the numerous discussions she had with her father on the subject. Was very hesitant at first in "starting" or "provoking" interests towards Liara mostly due to her status and current events in her life, but soon after realized that everything that made her hesitant in approaching Liara was in fact a necessity, that Liara was the only person she had met so far that seemed to properly understand what she feels in general mostly due to the fact that on numerous occasions she and Liara had mind-melding "sessions" (often at the request of Liara, which was then perceived by Shepard as a sign of interest beyond professional reasons) during which Liara felt, analyzed and over time understood all the retained or depreciated "psychologically-shaping" (as Liara describes) emotions and thoughts. Liara then helped her on a psychological level on various occasions, which then linked them further on a personal level, especially considering that during such moments Shepard felt almost as if Liara became her mother for brief moments, reaching in Shepard's deepest concerns and even fears, something that no others in her life but her very mother could do.

That's about it for now, but I pretty much developed an entire life story for my Shepard in my mind over the years (have had the same Shepard since my second ME1 game, where she became my own cannon Shepard, which up to this day means that I had that much time to just think and "create" an "out of the game events and facts" life for her).

[Thompson family]

Frank Shepard, soldier, earth born, sole survivor:

1. Kid raised on the street becomes an almost 100 percent Paragon. Knows you had to be tough to survive, but lived long enough to see where "tough guys" ended up.

2. Faithful lover of Liara T'soni. After an interlude with the consort before meeting Liara, he's been with Blue and will never go back.

3. Feels like Tali's big brother. She can take care of herself, but he still feels responsible somehow.

4. Is friends with Garrus but his best bud on the Normandy 1 was Wrex. Wrex knew who he was and wondered about it a lot less than Garrus.

5. Recognizes Jack as powerful but has seen her "wounded" type before back on Earth, when he was growing up. Not impressed.

6. Best bud on the Normandy 2 is Jacob. Two straightforward, simple guys.

And one for extra credit:

7. Despises TIM. He's "The Man," and Shep is a kid from the streets.

My second entry:

Lilith Shepard, engineer, spacer, war hero

1. Never wanted to be a big hero. Became an engineer because bases and colonies needed building. That was her real interest. Then the Skylian Blitz hit. It was her improvised defenses that saved the colony.

2. The only Shep of mine so far to complete the "Scan the Keepers" quest in ME1. She realized the keepers were there when the other species found the Citadel, and were there when the last Reaper wave hit. As the only living link with the cycle, they might yield insights.

3. Fell in love with Liara T'Soni at first sight. The immediate connection was so strong, she snapped back at the Turian council member when he asked if she was taking "all the proper precautions" with Liara.

4. Best bud on the Normandy 1 is Ashley. Best bud on the ME2 is Samara, the wise mother she never really had, since her mom was away all the time and doesn't even take personal calls much. Shep becomes the daughter Samara just lost.

5. One h*** of a shot with a sniper rifle.

6. Drives a Mako very well, and misses it.

[Calamity Abounds]

Trevor Shepard, Colonist, War Hero, Sentinel, Paragon.

1. Proudly keeps a Bucket List on his private terminal that contains humerous entries such as, arm-wrestle a hanar, piggy back a volus, and biotically sneeze a hole in a bulkhead. as well as other traditional entries seen on such a list.

2. Prefers cats over any other house pet and vigorously argues the point at length with "non-believers" In a candid interview with Staff Sgt. Roy L. Gibbs about his military career by Emily Wong, Gibbs refers to a night off duty when he and Shepard were just privates stationed on an Alliance Observation Station, and were discussing the issue. "It was one of those slow nights, its an observation station, of course nothing was happeneing. Shepard was doing what he did best, keeping up our sanity by sarcastically defending his position on cats or some other nonsense, I had the bright idea to ask him about the extent of his feline affection to which Shepard responded. "Gibbs, if I were a superhero, one of the pouches on my utility belt would be for the sole use of safegaurding, transporting, and distribution of cat food, you never know when a poor ole alley cat will be begging for a meal. Are you simply a protector of the people or the entire city?" I then asked well in that case what about the stray dogs, "Hood ornaments, their fate is pre-determined and there is no sense in tempting fate."

3. Has the compulsive need to drown everything he eats with garlic. This is mostly due to his Italian heritage and upbringing but when asked Shepard replies that he's simply safegaurding himself against Vampires. Oddly enough this is the same excuse given when also asked about his passion for rave music. "So you're a vampire, and you're swooping in to get your thirst on. Knowing that my garlic infested veins are my last line defense and may not be guaranteed to stop you, I pop on some heavy techno with a pumping bass. Thats only going to interfere with your echo-location and distract your focus thus giving me ample time to ready my stake or flee!"

4. Had a childhood dream of becoming a mechanical engineer and designing starships. Ships have always fascinated him due to their vast potentional and capabilities. Were it not for the unexpected biotic discharge (namely throwing a chair with great force at his billegerent instructor for failing him out of spite) in his third year of Tech Academy, He would have gone on to be a full fledged Engineer however decided to embrace both his biotic and tech abilities after a lifetime of ignoring the fact he even had biotic implants. His obession with ships yielded a quite humorous moment in which on a visit to see Liara, she found him in the engine room of the Shadow Broker base  in a bewildered state. "Is that the only reason you came to see me, so you could sneak off into the engine room and have yourself reduced to a giddy little girl in your fascination of this ship? "That, and you snore something fierce."


5. The word that best describes him is Contingency. He understands that you will never know whats around the next corner and that plans rarely go as they should. Whether it be his choice of who lives or dies, his weapons, armor upgrades, or if he decides to wear socks that day is all formulated and well thought about regardless of their seemingly insignificant, or useless application. His sarcasm plays off this mindset as he jokingly admits his life motto is "Have a plan to kill everyone you meet." Overall he can be described as a cynical optimist who uses his sarcasm and selfless  need to help others as a way to mask his own shortcomings and insecuirties of doubt he holds for himself and is also a bit of a germophobe. In fact he has created his own pseudo-skin gloves for possible bare hand contact so thin they feel like the real thing. Only with his "Lil' Blue Broker"  or those confirmed to have good hygeine does he ever let his hands "go all natural" Blood? no there's nothing wrong with blood, you can't be an effective soldier and cringe everytime your get bombarded with blood, but how many people in the galaxy do you think REALLY washes their hands?

6. He is the epitome of insomnia. Most nights are spent buried in his latest attempt to refine his tech and/or biotic talents. He once spent 4 sleepless nights trying to biotically throw a pin through a pin-sized hole in a piece of paper. He also spent 3 trying to cryo blast a small inch by inch space on his ceiling. Its this tedious practice of finesse that he refers to as 'Tatctile Redundancy'.

2. Represses true feelings, mostly out of exaggarated fears of possible consequences; adheres strictly to the rules, laws, regulations, whether he actually does agree or not

4. Romanced Ashley in ME1, remaining faithful in ME2
5. Politically, a liberal
6. His inner conflicts / repressed frustrations often spill out when under duress or in dangerous situations (ie: combat), unleashing in a frenzy of biotic rage.

1) Saved the Rachni for the sole purpose of dropping them on the grill after this Reaper crap is done with. Mmmmm....grilled Rachni.

2) Gets frequent brofists from Garrus for proving to Grunt that there is absolutely nothing he won't do on a bet.

3) Raging alcoholic. Makes a point of going into every battle drunk off his ass. This behavior is the cause of frequent insomnia for Garrus, Tali, and Miranda.

4) After recruiting Samara, secretly went back and kidnapped the Biotic God. Because that dude has the best drugs.

5) Thinks head shots are overrated. Dick shots are much more satisfying.

6) Has butt-f***ed anything and everything that moves. Is looking forward to fighting the Reapers just find out if they have a hole he can f***.

4) Secretly fascinated with the old Iron Man cartoons, and is constantly bugging Tali to design him rocket-powered boots.

5) Makes his Space Hamster wear a Killer Bunny costume because the Killer Bunny is much more terrifying than a Space Humster.

6) Has a raging hard-on for himself, because no one is more awesome than Commander Shepard.
