The Podcrabs in ME1 on Virmire. They just run around the canyon and explode into grey goo when you touch/shoot/run them over/they wander into a firefight between you and the Geth. They also have no visible mouths, and an eye on each corner of their shells (not too sure about that part, though).

I meant it's a spoof of the podcrabs themselves. They're so fragile and useless that it's hard to picture them mangling a human.

I see 3 things here that make me wonder.

1) It's Superman!
2) Another new inteligent species unknown to the Citadel, will we ever learn of this species' history and heritage now they are all dead? What about their language? The lone child will learn whatever language he/she is brought up in?
3) It's April Fools day, is this true? If not, what a sick joke to be in the news.

I wonder if the Shadow Broker is somehow involved in saving Super Boy. Must be worth something to sell him to the collectors...

I get the Superman reference, and it's pretty funny - but I don't get the April Fool's angle several people here are going on about. Where is there a "joke" or a "prank" in this? It's just a funny news story - like many others they've done.

I don't understand the "Oh, Bioware, you got me!" stuff. Unless people are being sarcastic...

Nice one.

Didn't BW put a Superman reference into Dragon Age: Origins? Yeah almost positive. it was a random encounter thing while traveling. It's where you get the "star" metal or something. Anyone else see this?

 And a potential LI, right?

A LI faster than a speeding bullet? Not for FemSheps, that's for sure.

I'm pretty sure that it was a spoof of Steve Irwin's death by manta ray attack - another oceanic creature assumed to be almost completely harmless.
