Ok i dont know what Bioware has in store for the Ps3 Players but i was just wondering why is the Ps3 copy coming out in the U.S almost 2 weeks later then Xbox 360? i only own a 360 and a wii as of right now!! and was thinking about getting a Ps3 just for this game.. Bioware makes the Best RPG Games ever? any ideas on what i should do? should i wait.. for the ps3 copy and buy a ps3 system or just get it for my Xbox 360? will it have better AI, Graphics, real time shadow on ps3 and other tec specs or is it the same?

I would just get it for the 360. I don't believe there is anything extra special being made for the PS3 as it is a multiplatform title. Not to mention these are console ports from PC.

I've heard (unrelated to DA:O and not from anyone at Bioware) it's slightly more complex to work with the PS3 from a developer's standpoint. Microsoft spent a lot of time and money ensuring that the transfer of work from PC to XB would be relatively painless. Sony did not, probably because they didn't have access to the source code. Oh well. You can use the extra week or two to bemoan corporations. =P

Ouch that's going to hurt ps3 sales! I think this is EA foisting ps3 development onto bioware.

Dragon Age is made for PC. It's always easier to port a game between PC and Xbox. PS3 on the other hand is more difficult, and a bad porting job will result in graphical errors, bugs and you name it. I was rather surprised that BioWare was going to release the game on PS3 in the first place.

Has Bioware ever had one of their games come out on the PS3?

There has been only one: MDK2 Armageddon for PS2 exclusive back in 2001, when Interplay was publishing their games. That does not account for anything after over 8 years of changes.Napoleon1853 wrote...

They originally planned, or rather did not deny Mass Effect for PS3, which did not happen due to either lack of time, unprofitable/risky investment or complications. Basically Dragon Age Origins will be BioWare's first ever release on PS3 platform. Given a delay of only two weeks comparing to other platforms, I don't really know how well it will turn out.
Valve tried to step onto the PS platform awhile ago, and now they openly declare that they don't like the PS platform at all and will not plan nor release any game on the PS platform in the foreseeable future.

The problem honestly boils down to the coding. It has not been a secret that the PS3 is harder to code for than any other system. Thankfully it looks like the tide is turning slowly but surely and hopefully Sony will make it easier for game companies to code for their console.

Its not being delayed anymore. I guess Bioware worked extra hard to get it working for PS3.
