Hey guys, I'm just curious to know what order you recruited your squadmates in.

In my first playthrough I got...

1. Zaeed first (I thought I'd go with TIM/Miranda's suggestion of recruiting Mordin first so I headed off to Omega to find Zaeed waiting in the entrance hallway)
2. Mordin
3. Garrus (I figured I may as well recruit him while I was still in Omega)
4. Grunt
5. Jack
6. Tali
7. Thane
8. Samara
9. Legion

Think I got Jack before Grunt but otherwise the same

However, subsequent playthroughs I've fallen into a pattern of

It's just awesome fun to have Garrus on Mordin's recruitment, and Grunt on Jacks (for me, anyway)

Grunt (Take Mordin with you for extra dialogue)
Zaeed (So you can take him to Archangel's recruitment for extra dialogue)
Garrus (take Grunt and Zaeed)
Jack (take Grunt for funny comments and take Miranda for an extra line)

Kasumi

Thane
Samara - Take Kasumi with you for funny dialogue (it's in the game files, I've heard it)
Tali (Take Grunt or Garrus with you for funny dialogue)

Legion (take Tali or Garrus for an extra scene)

First to Omega, because of Mordin, but:

1. Zaeed, he just stands there

2. Garrus, storywise it makes sense to recruit him first

3. Mordin, the reason i came to Omega

4./5. Jack/ Grunt, this is different, mostly Grunt first, because he is more usefull

6. Tali, only natural that my Shep would want to get his old friend first

7. Thane, I like him a little more than Samara

8. Samra

9. Legion

My first PT, I picked up Garrus before Mordin just to spite the Ice Queen.

Since then, only 1 PT (of the many) have I saved Garrus for last before Horizon)

He's got too many awesome lines.

Usually goes

Garrus, Mordin, Zaeed (if I remember), Jack/Grunt, Thane, Tali/Samara, Legion

Though if I could pick up Legion earlier, I totally would XD

I need to try this! Didn't think of it before. I did like how bringing Zaeed on that mission added a lot of extra dialogue.

Anyway, my first time through:

Mordin, Garrus, Jack, Grunt, Thane, Samara, Tali, Legion

Second time through:
Garrus (some tough fights for a low-level adept!), Mordin, Grunt, Jack, Tali, Thane, Samara, Legion

I highly recommend taking Grunt on Jack's recruitment mission. He's got some great lines.

Garrus' recruitment mission was one of my favorites anyway.

Yep, swap Grunt and Jack and I think that was my first playthrough order.



My second playthrough I used the modified PC files to recruit Tali and Legion right away

Depends on the class for me. With the soldier I usually go.



Zaeed-Because he is just waiting there and no mission needs to be done.

I did it a couple ways but my strict role-playing order was

Grunt - I went to the citadel first. My Shepard was paragon and he wanted to check in with the council. Korlus was on the way back from the Citadel to Omega.

Zaeed - He's right there

Garuss - Aria says Archangel doesn't have much time. So I took her at her word

Mordin - Last guy on Omega

Jack - Last overall

Tali - She's an old friend

Thane - No real reason here

Samara - same as above

All playthorughs,I knew all the squadmates and where you got them early for ME3 as soon as the first teaser trailer launches I'm staying the **** off the internet.

1) Zaeed he's standing in the hallway.

2) Garrus we're bros

3) Mordin I was there.

4) Grunt I don't know

5) Jack I don't know

6) Thane the viper (If I'm not an infiltrator I get Samara before Thane)

7) Samara I like her

8) Tali I want to be around her as little as possible

9) Lee John I'd get him right after Garrus if I could that'd be awesome. The entire game with brogarrus and broleejohn.

1) Kasumi (Quick stop, humorous companion.)
2) Grunt (Because I wanted to see what he said about number 3's rampage)
3) Jack (Mega-Krogan and Jack are the team I wanted for the gang slums in number 5.)
4) Zaeed (Because Mr. Z was standing right there.)
5) Archangel (He isn't used in next area, but I wanted him before number 6.)
6) Mordin (Jack and Grunt and the Doctor, because helping cure the sick is good for the Deranged.)
7) Tali (Archangel and Zaeed (Hey he's been getting no attention.))
8) Samara (Archangel and Kasumi for that Lawman and Thief day.)
9) Thane (Samara and Mordin, again for kicks.)
10) Legion (Because I'm not gonna get him till I am ready to win game. I am Paragon.)
11) Liara (Because she comes chronologically into the story. Post Suicider.)

There was one playthrough I got Tali after Legion and took Legion along and was very surprised by the result, especially since bringing Legion has no effect on Tali's LM but does on her recruitment.

My 360 playthrough was Garrus, Mordin, Jack, Grunt, Tali, Thane, Samara, Kasumi and Legion. No Zaeed because I didn't want to dole out $15 for the Cerberus Pack. (this is why you don't buy used games. Lesson learned.)

My PS3 playthrough was probably the same..ish but with getting Zaeed on the way to either Garrus or Mordin.
