Is it me or having a 3 rogue archer and 1 warrior archer build overpowered. Why? See below:
  • Ranger for 3 rogues means 3 spider to tank with disable
  • 4 archers with scattering shot (stun) is a sure death except to the tough bosses
  • Regen and damage aura for bards
  • Warrior with guardian armor skill (scattering shot dex requirement and good armor requirement while others for constitution and heath boost)
  • Spiders can tank for the exploding arrow skill
  • Legionarre for the other 2 rogues for no points to STR
  • Manual to restart stats/skills (to get enough CUN or DEX)
This is my 2nd playthrough and it sure was a piece of cake in NIGHTMARE. Rogue anti-death skills are awesome!!! While the Warrior guardian keeps those nasty guys away from my rogues.

I am currently testing all twin dagger warrior/rogues and it feels overpowered again. The only thing that sucks for me is the Keeper. I have tried the aura arcane warrior but i get tired of the slow killing thing and my character blurred face

You may also try 2 rogues and 2 warriors. Fade skill for the warriors is deadly with accuracy and pure dex!!!

Not really any more OP than other builds. Archers have good sustained single target damage and having a number of them can give you high sustained damage. However, if you have, say, 3 rogues using a single sword, maximized backstab damage, shadow form and the like, then you can instantly kill anything with flicker. No need to worry about damage, stuff just dies. Immediately.

I've never thought about this... clever strategy, I might give it a shot.

It's really no more overpowered than a lot of Mage-based gimmick builds.

Yep. Awakening pretty much made a normal healer/tank/damage party the worst possible party, and made any kind of gib group that emphasizes stacking overpowered abilities much more useful.

Awakenings is so ridiculously easy and the pcs are so overpowered that even worrying about strategy is pointless.

This.

I was caught off guard by the Mother battle because I hadn't had to use ANY strategy the whole game and that one required a little bit.

2 Archers
1 Tank
1 Arcane warrior/healer.

Mother for me was simple. 2 rogues 2 mages. Grouped up all the tentacles and mobs, killed them all with flicker, and then just kept hitting the mother until she died. 2 healers made it real easy, and with legionnaire scout there really isn't any need for a tank.

Man trying to claim a build is OP because he beat Awakening on Nightmare = FAIL.

Well I agree that its not as difficult as Origins, but I guess it is because we start at high level. Regardless, killing without even being damaged is very fun experience for me. Bosses? Spread out and let the warrior archer tank...I do finish Origins 3x in Nightmare but got tired of hours playing and have already settled with Mass Effect 2...I AM REALLY HOPING THAT THERE WOULD BE DRAGON AGE 2!!!

You should try a Blood Mage/Battlemage/Keeper CC/Nuker Mage then. Monsters drop within 5 seconds. No friendly fire. The only time I even had *difficulty* was vs. Broodmother's tentacles that were magic immune. Well, then she died a couple of seconds later because how much damage DW Backstab Rogues do in Awakening due to crazy gear and runes...

Its a gimmick set up. Any gimmick set up will seem overpowered. Replace your archers with Flicker rogues, almostanyspec-mages, DW or 2H spirit warriors, DW Legion Scout rogues, old-school backstab rogues, etc., ad infinitum, and the group will demolish anything in its path. Awakenings is actually harder with a balanced group.
