I do know that the main character is the one that has to kill 1000 darkspawns. You do have to 1001 to achieve the trophy though.
Maybe if we could roll back to PS3 firmware patch and DAO original patch back in November we all can achieve this trophy.

I don't think you can get this trophy if you continue your character with Awakening. I'll test it sometime this week.
You don't need to get this trophy with one Warden. Don't let the Party stats confuse you, remember all darkspawn killed is collectively shown. Try starting a new character (I suggest a Dwarf Noble) and disable any of your NPC's tactics.

Here I am posting anyway, even though the mods officially say "EA and BioWare do not provide official support on these forums."

Again guys the 2.5k darkspawn does invovles the entire group took me awhile to get my rogue elf archer the masterwarden trophy. if u battle the archdemon left ur 3 companions die then go kill some darkspawn till u get the trophy and let army distract the archdemon.
The first run through (about 1.2k darkspawn) were group kills. The second complete, and other partial, runs have been made entirely with only the PC killing darkspawn. Netting around 1300 darkspawn killed soley by the PC.
In other news, after three replies, my ticket with Bioware has been "escalated to the higher tier." Will post here if anything comes of it.

Thank you for contacting EA Support regarding your issue earning trophies in Dragon Age. As a gamer myself, I completely understand your frustration, and I will do everything I can to assist you further. This is a known-issue between Bioware and Sony that many people have been experiencing. A work-around for the time being is to do the following:
1. Before starting the game, sign out of the PSN.
2. Start up the game, bring up your save you had before you should earn the trophy.
3. Play that section again.
3. Upon doing the task, your trophy should unlock.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is the current work-around in order to earn your trophies.
I tried what they said. It did not work at first. Eventually I made my way to the Alienage and tried the Alienage trick as described on the forums. While still logged out of the PSN. After about 9 reloads the trophy finally unlocked.

So wait, we can have the latest patch in order to get this done? If that's the case, then Sony's to blame for the glitchy trophies. Though, that's hardly surprising, isn't it? Ha ha ha. I'll give this a shot when I've got the time. Thanks for this, though!

HAhaahah, they sound like children. "It's not our fault, he did it!" "No he did it, don't blame us! D=aled wrote...
i emailed EA tech support. they said "it's a gameplay issue, we can't help". so i emailed the gameplay people. they said "it's bioware's game, post in the forums and maybe a developer will see it".
WELL HERE I AM POSTING IN THE FORUM. THIS GAME IS BROKEN. FIX IT PLEASE!
I vote we continue posting daily until someone answers this problem. I am beyond angry now.
" "Wasn't me man "
It's been so long now and they've made no effort to help us or patch this problem, it's obvious they just don't care about trophies/achievments <_<

I have the Ultimate Edition UK of the game. I really wanted to get this trophy so i tried it with the Alienage trick.
I have all DLCs installed and latest patch.
I am connected and signed in to PSN.
I had the 100kills trophy before.
So i started the Alienage and relaoded for 5 times: 500kills trophy!
Motivated like never before i reloaded another 8 times and killed everything insight: Blight Queller!
So: yes, it is working (at last for me) with DLC and Patch and PSN!

the easiest way to get this is in the final battle in the alienage, save right before you fight the darkspawn, kill all the darkspawn, than load and do it again. (this works best for a mage with aoe spells)
your system counts the kills even if you load and start again.
Another way to do it is to delete all patches and play offline, than all your party kills will count.
