Yeah, this makes the suicide mission fun and challenging.  I actually had to think about what I was doing since there were certain crew members I didn't want dead (and others I did want to die).

Actually the LI's becoming villains has precedent. In Baldurs Gate II, your romance would be captured by Bhodi the Vampire and she would attack you, forcing you to kill him/her. You would then have the option of going through a somewhat difficult quest to revive them or they were perma-dead. You also had to carry their body in your inventory, lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if your romance option gets indoctrined or otherwise betrays you.  You then face them and have to choose amongst several difficult options.

Shepard: But you were the CHOSEN one!


Liara does seem likely to be the one most fraught with conflict.  She is likely to be the Shadow Broker, after all...

Your choices and actions didn't prevent BW from killing Shepard's ass.  Why would it prevent them from killing of her?

Shepard's death was a plot device that was useful at the time.  Killing your romance interest, as in giving you NO option, in ME 3 (the FINAL game) would be a huuuuuuuge dick move.  I can see it being an option if you screw up somehow or are evil, but a Final Fantasy VII Aeris moment?  Wow!  That'd be pretty damn rough.

Liara will turn "unjust" in her actions against the Shadow Broker so that you will have to choose between Samara and Liara!

Probably in a better way than the expendable cannon fodder of ME2. I think those characters sucked, and Im glad the suicide mission has reduced their chances of returning as squadmates to near non-existent.



As for Liaras death? I predict it wont happen, not for me at any rate. I havent endured the craptacular cameo of ME2 to get an unsatisfactory ending, so its not my concern.

Right...the death scenes were pretty weak in ME2...didn't shed one tear.  Laughed during some.

Good thing the Liara fans are usually a civil bunch, because I'm pretty sure if this was called "The Death of Tali" this thread would look like Hiroshima in 1945 (despite whether the OP was a troll or not; which he isn't).

Anyway, back on topic. I think most of the characters are gonna be able to die in ME3( it is the end of the trilogy and all. So no worrying about continuation), but I think all will be avoidable, or, at the very most, there will be a Virmire-like situation.

Alot diffrent, I don't care for the character, but Dink is a knowen troll Johnny. Everyone here knows it, and if he even tries to start trolling a bunch of us have the anti troll pyramid ready.
