Somehow, I get the feeling 'my' Liara is going to end up like Benezia. :? Not to say I wouldn't try to save her, because I'm just that kind of guy.

At this rate, though, they're going to have to get rid of some or more of the squadmates, especially if they plan to add new ones in ME3.

Liara is unable to die in ME1 and ME2, it is very likely that she will be able to die in ME3. How will Liara die? Will she take a missile to the face?

As this is 'my game'? She will live a long and happy life with Shepard.  :P

True story. :D

It would be lame if she stays the only death-proof love interest. >:|

Hopefully she'll die as a result of my Shepard intentionally feeding her bad info regarding who to kill on Illium.

Yeah, that was a suttle little twist that Bioware through in wasn't it?

Time for her "writers' pet" protected status to be revoked

It would be kind of amusing, if it turned out Bioware stepped out of their way to keep the 2/3 potential romance options from ME1 alive thru ME2, only so that they can off them in the ME3 intro sequence... :P

I doubt Liara will get a "scripted death", but it will most likely be an option. I just hope that when that option comes, Shepard is the one who has to "pull the trigger." (I know, for some this will be a prayer answered. For me, I just like angst.)

Perhaps they already have.  It never occured to me until fairly recently, that she was indeed possibly killed on Illium.

I don't think they'd have her death (or hopefully anyone's) be completely out of the player's hands.

Bah. Says you. Shepard's going to get enough squadmates to send 3 to every Reaper ship to take it out :P

They don't necessarily need to add many new (if at all) squadmates in ME3, and Liara is certainly the last place they should look to 'sideline' again or kill off. IMO

So far, she has been the most significant supporting character. I hope to see this kind of continuity in ME3 <3

I don't care if she lives or dies, I just don't want her on my ship. She's no longer the same person and has in fact become like a lot of the people Shepard fights. The only reason I helped her at all is because she was a friend/lover.

I can understand a person changing but she changed way too much. Also, if she really cared for Shepard so much, she could have stayed with Cerberus so Shepard had someone familiar there to explain things when he/she woke up. Her obsession with the Shadow Broker was more important so I'll leave her to that and want nothing else to do with her.

As someone else pointed out to me, she may be becoming more like her mother.  She also has had to endure a lot.  The death of her mother and keeping the Shadow Broker from Shep's body and handing it over to Cerberus.  Although she is around 100yrs old and has matured in the last few years, she still comes across as a fairly young female that is trying to find her way.  From a story standpoint, she is pretty darn important because if it wasn't for her, then Shep would have been dissected and examined by the collectors.

Uh, no, that's makes no sense. If anything, they would kill off people who could die to reduce the amount of work needed to flesh out all the old squadmates. Liara, however, makes excellent living squadmate material because BW knows that EVERYONE will have her in their playthrough.

Think about it....

Lemme expand a bit more. My hatred of Liara is already known, no reason to go into detail yet again. And while I'd definitely pounce on a chance to kill her, I can't imagine my Shep consciously doing it. I would consciously do it, of course, but my Shep would have accidentally made a wrong decision somewhere.

I think in terms of choosing a death, I'll just select from the ones in ME2. I'd love to see her crumpled at the feet of the Collectors.

If I had to make a prediction...

If you didn't romance her, her death will be scripted, as she's compromised her prior morality, which could lead to self-destruction.

If you did romance her, you can pull her back from the brink, saving her from meeting the squalid fate that befell her mother.

Of course, I'm one of the few people who was a fan of her development in ME2. Turn herself into a monster to bring me back from the dead? Well, that's ONE way to stop me from cheating on her with Miranda.

I don't believe we have any indication of whether anyone will die - except perhaps Thane - in ME3. All speculation. I wouldn't anyone's LI to die invariably in ME3, that would suck hardcore.
