Simple enough thread, has anyone/any company  tricked you or tried to trick you today, if so, how?

Blizzards was good this year, turing WoW avatars on their armory site into walrus people calling them ninjas, and their list of "announced" goods include a 16 floppy disk text rpg with all the old school anti pirate stuff and a snuggy.

and I think someone succesfully tricked me into thinking they where changing majors...subtle, might not be a joke, but I am FAR to paranoid to believe them.

No, I haven't been tricked yet but I remember some of the greats of the past. Like Alpine Hero for Xbox, the wooden Xbox, Xbox Helmet, etc. classics. Or the Transformer thing for StarCraft II. All hilarious and it makes me happy that companies will spend the money to do such things for a laugh. I love comedy!

Personally my favorite so far this year would be Blizzards matchmaking and fake gear score thing...both made me choke with laughter.

I have not, at least I don't think so. There was this big article in the newspaper talking about these free safes people could get. The first 3,500 people who called in got one, and it was filled with coins or something. I figured it was a prank, by the paper or something, and I called 'em to ask. They said that it wasn't, but meh, I still think it is lol.

anyone remember best buy making a mistake in the paper where it said nice HDTV's were less thank like, $30. that would be the perfect day for this lol, so many mad people.
