Does this pack include horse armor, or is that extra?

Can anyone confirm that these contain new dialog for all 10 companions (well... not Dog)? If so, I might buy it.

Why are they charging money for this?

There isn't any new dialogue. Sten talks a bit, but it's old stuff. The gifts just trigger a short animation.  The pranks don't do anything but create an item you can equip.

This DLC isn't worth even $3, it should have definitely been free.

So... REQUIRES PATCH 1.03... no thanks...

Whew, that was close. Almost spent money on it. My current player chara would love the pranks, but not if it REQUIRES PATCH 1.03.

Thanks. I think I'll skip this one.
Still need to play Return to Ostagar anyway, and that one *does* have a bit of new dialogue, from what I hear :)

My partner purchased them for me as a surprise. They're silly, but fun. I'm far too amused by the mere existence of the uncrushable pigeon. : )

I'm curious to know what's so bad about 1.03.

In no particular order:
  • A large number of spells and skills now cause the game to crash when used, either by players or enemies
  • There are reports of savegame corruption and missing items
  • Bugs which cause multiple (and major) quests in Dragon Age to no longer work correctly
  • No fixes for existing and long-standing issues, such as the +% healing effects attribute not working properly
  • For many, a quantifiable decrease in framerates and increase in stuttering and load times
  • Pickpocketing no longer functions properly
I would also like to roll in issues with Awakening, since many people were forced to update to 1.03 when they bought the expansion:
  • The player's items disappearing in the Silverite Mines
  • Party members get +100 approval when they join you, but no loyalty bonuses
  • Gifts don't seem to increase disposition in consistent ways (I can't get more than +5 per gift, while others say they are capped at +6)
  • Impossible to finish a large number of quests, some important to the main story
  • Invisible walls appear that prevent the player from progressing
  • Difficulty does not appear to scale at all, resulting in an absurdly easy game
  • Many items that appear intended as specific "reward" drops either appear as random drops, in merchants' inventories, or don't appear at all
  • Many areas have visible geometry seams, incorrect collision detection, and floating objects
  • Multiple scripting glitches lead to things like dialogues triggering when they shouldn't, characters becoming "duplicated", the player being teleported to strange locations, etc.
All in all, it's kind of a mess.

Invisible walls appear that prevent the player from progressing

Can't blame this on devs. Looks like these are being caused by mods.

I know, I got bitten by it. Advanced Tactics caused my problem.

But believe me, it was so frustrating, it caused me for the first time ever to call EA tech support. What a f**king waste of time that was. "We don't handle gameplay issues". Well, what do you handle? So the only thing you'll help with is if the game won't start or my disc is scratched? I wasn't asking for a quest hint, that was a gamestopper bug preventing me from going any further. Thank heaven for these forums and the graywardens ones, I eventually figured out what it was.

It would be like calling Adobe if you had a problem with Photoshop and the support guy telling you "we don't handle any problems in the actual operation of the software". Just if it won't start, or crashes.

Okay, I was able to get both the pranks and gifts more than a month ago on PSN for free, why are they just being announced now?
