What a waste of Money, could have simply read up on this through the forums and NOT bought.(Console commands=save money for PC) Here I thought they'd have cut-scenes for each gift/prank.(what a fool for thinking that) Oh and did I mention that even this DLC is buggy.(wrong +/- variations)

FFuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

Wynne's stick conjures a cat. That's all it seems to do.

The one glitch I had was that Dog's cone didn't drop him approval at all. Guess he loves me too much. :) But it did give me all of the special skills for him, though, finally.

Try conjuring Wynne's cat in combat...
Dog's approval never changes - that's a bug with the announcement rather than the pack.

I tried to download the feastday gifts and now it shows up as "unauthorized". What gives?

Im not spending another 240 pts to get it again.

Anyone else get this?

Looks like the PC DLC has been removed, unless I just can't find the link, which I guess is more an issue of bad site design than anything else.

Of course, it's not like I was going to buy it. Seriously, you're charging money for an April Fool's joke? I understand that companies use the day as a marketing opportunity, but this is pretty lame.

Oh well, I mean, I guess ****ty, should-be-free DLC is better than a patch to fix the horrendous bugs plaguing both Dragon Age and Awakening... oh wait, no it isn't.

Well, whatever. Maybe I'll use the money I save to buy something from one of EA's competitors - someone who treats their fanbase well rather than nickel-and-diming them into oblivion.

Just how do some of these gifts work? I hear things like Alistair gets debuffs when Morrigan uses the doll, and Wynne's stick summons a cat, and there are other items that say things like, wynne can summon a memory, but I can't seem to get them to be 'used'. I can equip Sten's sword - that's FUNNY - but the 'good' presents are just sat in my bag... is that it? they just sit there?

Am sorry but for $2 plus any extra costs for DLC sort of absurd. Why not make it free since it not worth all that much and knowing it has minimal game affect.

Ok, here's my question.

Do these items transfer into Awakening?

If they do - does Oghren's items still effect a special scene?

Because of money, and because EA/BioWare do not care about you or anyone here.

I can't believe I spend $5 on this junk. I guess that was the joke eh? I sure am the April fool.

And yes I know it was only $3 but $5 was the lowest amount of Bioware points offered.

Could anyone run a test and see if any of the things transfer into Awakening?

It'd *greatly* appreciate it.

Are the gifts supposed to alter your approval ratings? I don't mean the number - I mean the 'warm at 100' vs 'love at 100.' That would seem to be a bit of a problem. (I did mine on early saves in characters who had already completed Awakening, so it didn't matter to me, but if I start a new Origins person, I'd like to avoid a bug that alters romances.

After you give the gift in the usual way, it moves down the list - then you just Use, or put it on your bar & use it there.

On PC you drag the items onto your quickbar or right-click in the inventory screen to use them. On console you access them from the radial menu (left trigger). I believe they are under the potions tab.

Unfortunately, it appears that at least some people are seeing a bug that affects the message (warm/love/etc.) but this doesn't affect the romance itself.

Ok, thanks. So it wouldn't alter the Origins epilogues? (I'm starting a new rogue - I don't want her left lonely in The End.)

eta:  I should add that I still get the romance dialogue, as opposed to when you end a romance, so that's promising.

Shame it's not compatible with Awakening.

The Butterfly Sword is the only item you'll be able to bring over to Awakenings, I believe.

That and the Scented Soap.

So there are items that DO transfer!

Guaranteed/Confirmed?

So is this still being offered? I don't see it in Dragon Age as available content nor do I see it on the DA Origins DLC page.

I completely agree, this is freaking ridiculous. So instead of giving us a snazzy patch to fix all the MAJOR bugs in the game we get to BUY some gag gifts?????

Come on Bioware, you are better than this.

The full pack finally showed up in game (PC version) so I could buy it.

So with the full pack you get 2 presents (1 good and 1 bad) for each companions (including the secret one). I suggest you give the bad one first and then the good one (though the marchant now offers some cheap +10 approval presents presents in case you make a mistake).

Most of the gift work the same way than Anders' cat in Awakening : you give your companion a gift and it transforms into an object that only him (you for the dog present) can use. You may put in the companion skill bar. Some presents transforms into armor piece (undestructible pigeon) or weapon (rainbow sword) though.

When used, Morrigan's good present does a malus on Alistair. Oghren's gives him a boost in Strenght and Zevran's a boost in Dexterity.  The soap can clean up your armor. I do not know if theyhave additional use in combat though ( Anders' cat rez
everyone when used in combat).

So far the only one that seems to have an unlimited number of use is Zevran's Chastety belt (1 unremovable armor + the key usable object to remove it) as it transforms back into a gift when you use the key onto it (and it still gives -51 approval when use thereafter).

This has convinced me to buy the DLC.

Wow BW will never cease to amaze me, nor the people of questionable intelligence who actually have the spare cash to buy this crap.

Hint: How about BW devs put just as much time into fixing their broken ****ing game as they do in selling us absolute crap for DLC...

Bought my DLC from the website, it's present in my transactions but it doesn't want to download it (also, it's not listed on my list of authorized DLCs)! Did I miss something here?

Wow. A lot of animosity in here.
"$2 is absurd" (Said by others, not by me.)
Seriously. It's two freaking dollars. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Save that $2 and get yourself a bag of mixed lollies.
I downloaded the pack and I love it, and I'm all for paying for stuff I enjoy to encourage the dev's to make more stuff that I enjoy.

I think it's funny. I won't be buying it, but looking is free and it made me laugh (Morrigan with a voodoo Alistair doll).
