I'd pay twice to be able to wash his mouth out with soap

The announcement should include the fact that patch 1.03 is required for the Feastday DLC. I would be damned annoying to buy this before finding out it can't run on Origins with patch 1.02a.

Ruins the dignity...

Is that dignity ruined before or after Oghren opens his mouth?

My last game lost all dignity when my worryingly ugly and elderly-looking dwarf warrior nailed Morrigan... I'm still shuddering.  I can't get his horrible staring eyes out of my head.  After that, a Grey Warden glove puppet is a step up.

Wow. A lot of animosity in here. $2 is absurd? Seriously. It's two freaking dollars. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Save that $2 and get yourself a bag of mixed lollies.
I downloaded the pack and I love it, and I'm all for paying for stuff I enjoy to encourage the dev's to make more stuff that I enjoy.

It's really not so much about the money. Yes, IMO it should be free but at this point I would'nt get it even if it was. I dont have and wont get patch 1.03 until it is fixed so I cant have these items.

The issue I have with it is that I have a semi-working Dragon Age Origins (Corrupted Save bug is a big issue) and we all are having TONS of issues with Awakening and it's multitude of bugs.

Fix the bugs and I will be more than happy to grab up all the DLC I can get.

I purchased the combo pack DLC, but it's not showing up on my list of promo items. I wasn't given a code, nor did I get an e-mail receipt. But they did take my points. Any ideas on how to convince the game I really did purchase this?

So, it's only 240 points but I can't buy it unless I buy 400 points?

Requires the (broken) 1.03 patch? No thanks. I'm waiting for an update that, you know, actually fixes stuff. Nice to see that the Bioware devs are hard at work on something, I guess.

All these nightmares occurring on the PC for something this small.....why is it always the PC that gets the buggiest and most game-breaking features on everything while the consoles have little to no problems whatsoever? Normally it'd be the differences in hardware and software and how they interact screwing things up but this should bear no relevance on a website letting you download something after it took your money.

Why do you put up with this complete nonsense?

That's not going to happen......what sucks is that on PC you are only restricted to bioware products so when you have 160 points left over chances are you won't be using them for a loooooong time, if ever so you lose money. Now on XBL everything uses Microsoft Points(same as BioWare points but NOT restricted) so you can use those points for DLC for ANY game, videos, music, games and a lot more. Obviously I don't spend them just for the sake of spending them but I know that the next awesome thing I'll want to buy is never too far ahead and my options are nearly infinite.

Combine this with the other nightmares the other in this page reported and all the bugs and nightmares I've only seen reported on PC and I must say I'd never in a million years touch the PC version of this game.

Looks like the PC DLC has been removed, unless I just can't find the link, which I guess is more an issue of bad site design than anything else.

Of course, it's not like I was going to buy it. Seriously, you're charging money for an April Fool's joke? I understand that companies use the day as a marketing opportunity, but this is pretty lame.

Oh well, I mean, I guess ****ty, should-be-free DLC is better than a patch to fix the horrendous bugs plaguing both Dragon Age and Awakening... oh wait, no it isn't.

Well, whatever. Maybe I'll use the money I save to buy something from one of EA's competitors - someone who treats their fanbase well rather than nickel-and-diming them into oblivion.

I completely agree, this is freaking ridiculous. So instead of giving us a snazzy patch to fix all the MAJOR bugs in the game we get to BUY some gag gifts?????

Come on Bioware, you are better than this.

This content and the patches are apples and oranges. This is probably something that has been done for quite a while, and sat upon just for April Fools Day.  I doubt very seriously anyone was sitting around going "yeah, we've got a patch issue that is pissing off half our customers base, let's ignore it and make an e-collar for Dog.

Don't forget that the new DLC works only with 1.03 patch so it couldn't have been made that long ago

Again. Holiday content and the patch are apples and oranges. My content all works just fine. Plenty of other folks are working just fine. And I'm sure BioWare are working to address the issues of the rest of you, but this is one of the issues with PC games (and I prefer PC over console for every game where a PC version is available) but they are developing something that has to work across thousands of possible configurations. Essentially they have to think of every possible rig over the min. sys. req. that someone could have and try to make it work with that. If your particular, individual machine somehow falls through the cracks, it's honestly not very likely that it is a personal slight. BW isn't doing it just to ****** Icinix off. They just haven't hit on the combo that fixes your particular machine yet while working on the issue that 100 other guys are having on their particular machines.

Regarding the PC bundle - apologies but we're working on fixing this on the web store. In the meantime, as others have indicated, you can purchase points from the site and redeem these (or existing left over points) from in-game.

I bought the points and the combo DLC from the website, and of course as you know well, it requires my password. At the end of the transaction, the 240 points were deducted from the 400 pts bought and "log in the game with the same account you purchased, etc. etc.."

Well, all 3 DLC shows up in the game, the combo and both separated packs, it shows my balance of 160 pts that I'll have to wait some future BW - DA product to spend AND there is no sign of my purchase being downloaded. It also does NOT show in my "registered game promotion".

How long for this to be fixed?

From my Point Statement:
Date Item Amount 2 Apr 2010 19:08 GMT
Feastday Combo Pack
- 240 BioWare points

Well that would say to me it was probably conceived at least as far back as Awakening. Or I guess it could have even been tweaked after initial design to make it compatible/reliant on patch 1.03.

Still, it's just silly to suggest that BW was ignoring bugs related to a major patch just so they could take someone's leftover BioWare points from other DLC purchases, or to try and "trick" someone into spending $5 for a $2 / $3 DLC pack.
