I just finished my best playthrough in Origins but when I try to import my character its butt naked! Why oh why? First encounter I keep dying because I have no armor on me!
Come on! I'm butt naked in Awakening?

do you have any in your invatory? or do you have armor thats not from dlc to put on your character in Orgins? then load that save into awakining.

lol bud same thing happened to me cuz i was using starfang and was wearing the warden commander armor just load your last save after you killed the archdemon and throw the warden armor and starfang away as it does not transfer only dlc stuff that transfers is the Return to Ostagar stuff.
But here is advise when you reload your last origin save after the archdemon was killed make sure you take all your best gear off your party members and empty your chest at soldiers peak only thing that transfers is wat is in your inventory and no dlc items with the exception of return to ostagar anything else vanishes

From what I remember, I read it was a glitch. You are suppose to have a default armor.

Haha, you got it. Anyway never bothered to read the Awakening FAQ before so I really didn't know that my stuff would be carried over to Awakening.
Almost all DLC stuff were gone except stuff from Return to Ostagar.
Finished awakening at level 31, and all I can say is my rogue warrior didn't need to use the warden's commander armor at all even if it was carried.

What annoyed me was importing my Mage and not having a staff to go through the opening with. Or having any weapon, really. Which meant that the character kept having the brilliant idea to go punch the dark spawn out. Stole Anders staff, of course, but then he picked up that same brilliant idea. I understand they need to take away DLC stuff (well, no, I actually don't, but I'll go with it), but they could have at least given some sort of default weapon/armor in return.

Checking the forums before you advance into the Awakenings while it might be a satisfactory fix for some folks, it is just sloppy programming on Biowares part, i think the best solution is.....

Actually, Shale DLC items are still there (on PC at least) as I still have Helm of Honoleath and Cadash Stompers, so the Warden could just be naked from the neck down!

Absolutely true. However, to be technically precise, if it's in the FAQ file, it's not a bug or glitch. FAQ file says: "your DlC will not carry over unless it's RtO." (Now BTW they neglect to mention that the Stone Prisoner stuff does, so really all that's affected is Blood Dragon Armor and the WK stuff.)
They announced it beforehand and it was knowable beforehand. Even without a forum visit.
Should they have made your stuff carry over? It was doable ... modders have done it.
Should they have dealt with the situation of stuff not carrying over by giving everybody default gear when they lack carried over gear (a la the Orlesian), or putting An Oddly Placed Merchant Who Sells Replacement Gear right where you meet Mhairi ... well ... Mebbe Definitely.
But they didn't. However, it's not a bug. Per se.
