AFAIK, this does not run with patch 1.02a.
Thanks - that just saved me from wasting my money. Shame...

It would have been a waste whether you could play it or not. Save your money and spend it on a developer who deserves the money. Played Killing Floor? Torchlight? Psychonauts? Deus Ex? Toki Tori? Lumines? Overlord? They're all frequently on sale on Steam for $5 or less and are all far more rewarding games than ludicrous DLC packs that should have been released as free updates.Elps wrote...

If software companies regularly gave things away whenever they shipped something late, they'd all be out of business. I say this as a software developer. It happens, and except in really extraordinary cases no one is going to treat it as a big deal.
there is obviously an acceptable amount of time content can be delayed.... but 6 weeks? that's not acceptable, especially when they waited an extra 3 weeks after they announced it had passed certification (i've seen dlc content for other games come out on the PSN within 2 weeks after it had been submitted for certification).
and considering that this content is nothing more than a 3 second novelty (i'm exaggerating), i can't see why they would be charging $3 for the bundled content (or $2 for each feast or prank) when you can get exponentially more content for $5. it could have just as easily been an april fool's gift.

This... I don't know what this is. This nickel and dime DLC bullsh!t has to stop, Bioware. Please. I'll buy your half-assed, unfinished, buggy expansion packs but 3 dollars for some perfunctory in game gifts and/or character reskins in ME2? What the hell has gotten in to you?

They're acting perfectly normally, shown by the fact that there are actually ppl who purchase these.
TBH, I would've purchased it had it not required patch 1.03. Now I've gotten ahold of my impulse. Whew.

The thing about DLC is that nobody is forcing anyone to buy it - it is optional content that adds to the game in some way. If you don't like it, don't buy it - simple!
I don't get why people seem to think additional content should be free. Bioware developers don't work for nothing. If you want free then either support modders or do your own modding. As for me - I'd pay $3 for a chocolate Easter egg, eat it, enjoy it, and a few minutes later it'd be just a memory. So paying $3 for a pack that adds a bit more fun to a game I already have fun with is a no-brainer.
The only problem I have with this Feastday DLC is that it should be clearly stated that patch 1.03 is required in order to run it. I bought more Bioware points so I could get this DLC and if the server had not been having problems with the link I would have bought the DLC before I knew that 1.03 was required. Since it can't run on 1.02a its not able to be used by me.

Happy April Fool's Day everyone! This year we thought we'd let everyone celebrate in-game, where it's currently Feastday. In ancient times it was dedicated to the Old Goddess of Freedom, Zazikel, but is now attributed to the Second Moon, Satina, and often referred to more formally by its high name of Satinalia. In the world of Dragon Age, Satinalia is a day of feasting, revelry, and wild celebration. It's a topsy turvy day where royalty waits tables and fools are named as kings. In Antiva, the festivities often last for a week or more, followed by a week of fasting. Throughout Thedas, it is customary for friends, lovers, and traveling companions often exchange gifts and play pranks on each other.
Don't worry, this content is very real and will be yours to purchase and keep long after April Fool's Day has come and gone in our own world. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it. A big thanks to all of you for playing Dragon Age and taking part in the broader BioWare community.
How about you fix the game instead of releasing this crap! Happy ****ing feastday my ass.

No. The point is EA/BW could have spent the same amount of time fixing all the bugs in the game as they did making this crap. By buying this DLC all you are saying is thank you EA/BW for your terrible customer support. Thank you EA/BW for not even bothering to fix any of the bugs in the original game after six months since release. Thank you EA/BW for not giving a **** about us or the game.
Seriously, what kind of an idiot would pay money for this crap?

Gosh thanks. $3 is not a biggie for me. I'm having fun with DA:O and DA:A and I'm willing to pay $3 for a few laughs in the game, same as I'd pay $3 for a drink at a restaurant that will last me 20 minutes. From my POV people who spend any money to watch sports games are 'idiots' because I find sports boring.

Thank you for sharing your insight into being an idiot. Natural selection has a special place for you, so try not to further dilute the gene pool on your way out.

It's the principle of the issue that people are objecting to, not the fact that the content exists in the first place.Laurelinde wrote...

I will word this simply:
EA and BioWare know Dragon Age has technical problems on all platforms. EA and BioWare like making money more than they do fixing bugs. EA and BioWare would rather just pretend the bugs don't exist, even though the bugs are preventing people from enjoy their games. Instead, EA and BioWare have decided to release a short, insignificant, non-canonical and overpriced add-on for Dragon Age in order to exploit an unofficial holiday. This add-on was created by developers who could have instead been allocated to fixing their broken game. Thus, EA and BioWare show they care nothing for their community, and that they believe their customers are cash cows instead of people deserving of any basic level of respect or consideration.
