The thing about DLC is that nobody is forcing anyone to buy it - it is optional content that adds to the game in some way. If you don't like it, don't buy it - simple!
I don't get why people seem to think additional content should be free. Bioware developers don't work for nothing. If you want free then either support modders or do your own modding. As for me - I'd pay $3 for a chocolate Easter egg, eat it, enjoy it, and a few minutes later it'd be just a memory. So paying $3 for a pack that adds a bit more fun to a game I already have fun with is a no-brainer.
The only problem I have with this Feastday DLC is that it should be clearly stated that patch 1.03 is required in order to run it. I bought more Bioware points so I could get this DLC and if the server had not been having problems with the link I would have bought the DLC before I knew that 1.03 was required. Since it can't run on 1.02a its not able to be used by me.
No. The point is EA/BW could have spent the same amount of time fixing all the bugs in the game as they did making this crap. By buying this DLC all you are saying is thank you EA/BW for your terrible customer support. Thank you EA/BW for not even bothering to fix any of the bugs in the original game after six months since release. Thank you EA/BW for not giving a **** about us or the game.
Seriously, what kind of an idiot would pay money for this crap?

I paid for the Feastday Combo off the website an hour ago and it still does not show up as available for download ingame on the PC. It does show that I purchased it on the website transaction history. What gives? It shows up ingame as available to purchase. Are they trying to dupe us into paying for it twice? PT Barnum all over again.

Flack that they brought on themselves with: rushed out DLC and xpac; lack of bug fixes; DLC that looks like just a cash grab and is not worth it.Elps wrote...
Seriously, what kind of developer would even bother creating a fun little interlude for others to enjoy given the amount of flack they get for everything they do?
Given their lack of big fixes and poor quality control when they do perhaps the patch team needs more staff.Elps wrote...
You are making a lot of assumptions here. We don't know if the developer(s) of this DLC are part of the bug fixing team or whether it caused anyone to take time away from creating patches, DA2, or new extensions. Spit venom all you like, the fact remains that some people are happy to purchase this DLC. It's called having fun!
Purchasing it is not saying anything more than that.
Yeah lets keep the negative feedback to a corner where no-one will see it. As for this DLC this is the nail in Bioware's coffin, they created a wonderful game and have essentially ruined all the goodwill that flowed from that with their actions since. It actually amazes me how much Bioware have shot themselves in the foot. How on earth can it be said that this DLC is remotely worth even $3?Elps wrote...
As for what kind of idiot would pay money for this? Me! Except I can't play it because I can't run the game with the 1.03 patch. Is that annoying? Yes - but I'm happy to keep bug issues to the tech forums where they belong and not add to the demotivating diatribes that infest these forums.

I can't imagine Shale without her Uncrushable Pigeon.
And Leilana can play the lute finally! Awesome.
Maybe a little expensive compared to the other similarly-priced DLC (Warden's Keep, Ostagar etc), but whatever. It's still only 5 bucks.
Aw, thanks!Magnum Opus wrote...
Can't say that I'm all that interested in this particular bit of DLC, but anyone willing to give an Alistair voodoo doll to Morrigan gets points in my book.

Are these the same DLC that EU PS3 users got for free a while back? Well at least we weren't shafted on one thing!

Yep, one and the same, it beggars belief they are charging for it.
My husband got it free for his PS3 and when I saw it, I thought how boring is this, I wouldn't download it even if it was free just my opion folks don't get angry I was expecting more than just hearing the party members say 'thank you' in such a bored tone of voice.

If any DLC needs to be compared to Bethesdas' Horse Armour it'd be the Mass Effect Reskin Packs.
This... I don't know what this is. This nickel and dime DLC bullsh!t has to stop, Bioware. Please. I'll buy your half-assed, unfinished, buggy expansion packs but 3 dollars for some perfunctory in game gifts and/or character reskins in ME2? What the hell has gotten in to you?
