Does Origin's content transfer into Awakenings? Imean items you've saved in your chests and inventory.

Only what is on your main player character/in the backpack. With some exceptions - the following items will not import by default (though I believe there is a mod somewhere that may change that - dunno for sure):
Blood Dragon Armor
Warden Commander Armor
Starfang
Pre-order bonus items like the Dalish Promise Ring, Embri's Many Pockets, etc
In short, anything not in Return to Ostagar (and some of the Stone Prisoner content like crystals, Cadash Stompers, Helm of Honnleath) will not import into Awakening (check the FAQ).
So make sure that you have a decent set of gear and a good, non DLC, weapon on you when you get ready to import. Best way to do this is to load your Post Coronation Auto Save, return to camp, and do the equipment swapping there.
Sell off anything you don't believe you will need - the equipment will just take up space, and the gold comes in handy (especially if you are 'short' of it end game of the original campaign)
