RSS feeds not working in Google Reader

I tried to subscribe to the off topic and DA General rss feeds with Google Reader and it gives me a "The feed being requested cannot be found." The feeds do work in Live Bookmarks though. Is this a compatibility issue with Google Reader? http://www.feedvalidator.org/ thinks the xml page is a webpage, not a feed.
