Im on my second time playing it through. Beat it on Normal and am now playing it on nightmare. I dident take a rogue when i played on Normal, and man did I miss out. Sooo many lost items and xp. All added up having a rogue in your party will give you an extra level at the end.

Most plot gifts I found were out of non-locked containers.

Afew quests either require lockpicking or have "shortcuts" to them if you use lockpicking,

You'll miss out on a lot of gift-items. You'll miss out on a few just cool items. You'll miss out on a very good amount of XP for the lockpicking. There are some quests that do not require lockpicking, but in some cases, lockpicking is (one of) the only ways to the best ending to that quest- getting evidence and the like.
If that's the case I'm screwed haha.
Oh well more playthroughs then!

While you miss on a lot of things, the quests where you need lockpicking are few and it is easy to simply go back to camp and take a rogue, since they level with you they will have a lot of stat points and talents to place, just max lockpicking and cunning on them.
