I would all but guarantee it. DAO Part 2 is a long way off. I would beat on another expansion in the summer and than the last expansion at Christmas time. Of course I'm also guessing we will see about 6 DLC's in between. That should keep all of us busy and Happy until, DAO Part 2 roles out on Feb 1, 2011!  Image IPB

I only hope I'm right!Image IPB

I think you're way too optimistic.

2/2011 could be a spinoff (game genre spinoff or media genre spinoff). We still don't know.

It could be expac 2. If it is, it might be a longer, more satisfying one than Awakenings. With some time for actual QA!

It might be the sequel. Frankly, if it is DA 2, it seems to me to be too darn soon to be making updates to the game engine proper, but maybe as some have said they've been working on it longer than we think.

*If* 2/2011 is the sequel, there probably is at best ONE MORE expansion coming between now & then, my guess would be in the October-November timeframe, just in time for the holidays, that lovely retail season.

I suspect there are also going to at best *2* DlCs coming between now and 2/2011, and they will both be for Awakenings, not Origins. But mebbe one could be "crossover".

I'd rather cut my genitals off and set fire to them outside of BioWare's office than have them release another broken expansion.

While I'm still maintaining a certain degree of optimism that EA/BioWare will realize that the word is out on their bugged product, that this will hurt sales, and they will quickly rectify this, I have to agree with the general theme in Searnox's flames.

A GOOD patch in the next 4 weeks would convince me to try another expansion come 2011 in the hopes that EA/BioWare got the message and tested the product thoroughly.  Hell - even some public acknowledgement that they screwed up and they are working on it would go some distance.

But otherwise . . . it's Starcraft2 and Diablo3 for me.

BioWare said they have plans for two years of DLC. So roughly from 11/2009 to 11/2011.

At most, 02/2011 is the announcement of DA2. More likely, it's a spin off or another expansion pack.

I didn't enjoy DA:A - that expansion stinks beta all over it. Meh.

However, I do look forward to another expansion/game - but also some awesome sauce adventure packs! *hint* Ossian Studios are awesome! See MoW for example! Or Darkness over Daggerford! *hint* :D

I think the next expansion should be set some years ahead. You have to choose what happened in DA:O and DA:A before actual gameplay, then roll out... perhaps not another Blight, but... something epic as Dragon Cults? :D

And please, moar tranny dwarves! Moar complex dilemmas! And moar raep! :D

Your timeframe and request for a good patch are mutually incompatible...

I have it on good authority (which is to say absolutely none) that it will be the unveiling of the new Ferelden Flea Market - all countries welcome, except Orlais; let's not start that up again here.

But as already said, if it is DA2, I hope it won't be hard to port mods in progress over to it.

Of course "Basically two years" could mean 18 months, could mean 14 months...  I suspect (who needs evidence!) that it will depend on how well the DLC does and how many delays the DLC experiences.

I'm quite fond of the graphics, they aren't nearly as good as the sacred ashes trailer but it'll be there soon enough.

Okay first of all. i have finished DA about 5-10 times now (i dont count so don't know for sure)

and i have also played it on 3 diffrent PCs AND YOU REALLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE first it was on my laptop it is acually pretty new but there was some very irritating bugs sometimes, then on my friends laptop, that one aint something to worth telling about and the game was... **** (bad PC).

then i played it on my NEW stationary (8 gb ram) and that was the most AWESOME gaming experience i ever had.

there is also ALOT more problem when you set the graphic down EVEN IF YOU USE A GOOD PC.

DA is also game that the most computer cant take only the NEWEST ones. (okay if you have some old ownage pc that cost you 40 000 then maybe that one can too)

so here is the answers (when all this is done then you can get angry)

1 new pc (theres is written on the boks there is only needed around 1,5 (vista/win 7) but something higher will do a great deal (and no cheap new pcs)

2 up with the graphic

3 dont have anything running in the background it will slow down the game (programs like MSN and skype is ALWAYS the sinners to gaming problems due their pop ups)

I play on a 3ghz Dual core PC with 3gb of ram and Nvidia XFX gts 250 card not totally new not overly old, I ramp the graphics up to a fairly high quality and I have yet to have *touch wood* any crashes or noticable bugs on any patch version. I think it just requires a decent standard of hardware and a fairly clean (IE malware free) PC.

Moral of the story dont surf for Pron if you want to play DA ;)

Most people suspect that this is an ad for DA2, not another expansion. So I doubt they'll release another one between now and 2/01/11:

I'm not saying your wrong for saying that might be dragon age 2 but how could they make a second dragon age? I mean would the DA2 travel hundreds of years into the future so another blight could happen or would another unatural blight happen due to a certain douchebag's meddling?

On the crash problems -- all I can tell you is I never had any before 1.03 patch, and I've had a few infrequent ones ever since. Nothing changed on the hardware side from before to after, so I'm guessing one might have to look at ... software. However, those crashes have been so infrequent as to not really be worth worrying about. I certainly am not having the game crash every time I do mana clash or other spells (knock on wood).

But guys, you can have the most tiptop, clean-as-a-whistle PC, and you won't evade the Silverite mines bug. There are a lot of bugs & glitches in the expansion that cannot be blamed on peoples' own machine configurations.

Anyway, to bring us back to main topic, of course I'm hoping for another expansion after Awakening, but I really, really hope they do better QA on the next one.

I'm hoping for more expansions ans DLCs within the Origins story myself.

As for crashing, I have everything on the max settings with great performance and only mod related crashes. It's been damn stable.

While you're at it, why don't you also bet on a patch that fixes every single known bug ever.

The thing I don't understand is why people bought the expansion in the first place. Especially the Xbox one. Considering how bugged DA:O STILL is I will not go near the expansion until its selling for $5 second hand. No way I would give EA/BW anymore money for making broken games.

You know why your Game is so buggy? its because you dont have the pc or Ps3 verson. The Xbox verson is the worst piece of crap cause the xbox software and the hardware is so outdated. If you can get a pc and play DAO and DAA its secound to none but Ps3 verson is right up its alley.

I've now done multiple play throughs on Origins, beat Awakening once (on my way to do a second time) - and you know how many bugs I experienced? How many glitches?

All on X360?

Let's try this on for size.

None. Not one.

So I would disagree very much with your assestment of X360 and Dragon Age. For that matter, I have it on PC as well (both Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2) - and guess what?

Prefer them both on X360. I am barely out of Lothering on my PC version. Yet my X360, beat it already several times, as I said before...

I hope there is a next part 2 DA, whether it is new game or expansion but itd be nice 2 have more of the original party members in it, like Zevran ad Leli!
