I hope BioWare will face Valve. Zynga would be an insult.

WOW,i knew games were expensive, but 70$???i got about 100 ps2 games for that price & u spend it on ONE game?
really, here we have everything so cheap, except the PS3 games, they could reach 100$ depending on their fame, like Final Fantasy & metal gear solid 4,although the ps3 itself is about 250$,while the Xbox 360 is about 400$,its games are EVERYWHERE & for 5$ a game...while the pc games are about 1 or 2 $...next time if u r visiting iraq, just let me know...i'll show u where u can buy games & consoles...

You realize with prices that cheap, they're probably pirated.  Maybe the PS3 games are expensive because the pirates either ignore the platform or can't handle Blu-Ray production yet?

If they're not pirated, they're probably stolen.  Nothing legitimate can explain those prices for new or recent high-end games.

Just a thought.

I think the conversations with Leliana in the game are worth the $70+ dollars for me. Actually, I would give up my life, my family, and all my posessions just to be with Leliana. I have to say, whether or not $70 is expensive, I feel I got what I paid for. The bonus is that I found a virtual lover. <3:wub: Leliana <3:wub:

because it was supposed to remind me of the Baldur's Gate experience. so much was alike, so much wasn't. when did Baldur's Gates terrain and Cities have invisible walls? annoyed me alot that it was no longer a (for example) 1x1 mile area for each place. and where's my deep dungeon that's there just for the sake of being there?
and the mute villain thing just doesn't work. the architect for awakening is a godsend for Dragon Age. Good thinking there Bioware.

there's so much i wanted and didn't get and there's so much i wanted and got. but the invisible walls around certain paths in FEW locations really ruin the feeling of false freedom that BG gave... if you get my drift?

then again, i'm a guy who jumped straight from baldur's gate to Dragon Age skipping everything in between... i haven't evolved with the Genre so to say.

there's too much of WoW's soul in this game and too little of Baldur's Gates soul. i've got my combat, now where's my "puzzle" battles. my riddles in quests.
also, too few MAJOR sidequests like "cult of the unseeing eye", "durlag's tower" and some other classics. what it was was pretty much 6 main quests 50 sidequests and then rare items that trigger special events with different people. too much WOW.

characters lived up to it all the way. this game gets my vote.

oh, and to mention something new that i loved alot. the cinematics in this game were awesome all the way. be it the battle at ostagar or the "tour" of the sacred ashes while the guardian fill you with lore. love it.
loved the sacred ashes dungeon. fantastic work with a voluntary boss at the end, coudn't get better than that.
spirit of the forest quest. can't count how many thimes i'd love to play that part again. the fade is an INGENIOUS situation. hope to see more.

oh, and encounters where the odds=rape are nice too, ser Cauthrien among others.

but i really missed puzzle battles. where's my mirror eyes against demons who cast timed death? lower resistance of dragons and fight Illithid who leveldrain(?) and kill you off if you haven't got the right resistance scroll.

MAKE US THINK BIOWARE, you already do, but we could handle riddles at higher levels, our brains are numbing by the game market today (which is ok).

one of the things i truely liked in dragon age is the characters, not ur mute hero, but your companions, especially Alistair & Sten, hate the dwarf, loved the mages & Leliana,Zevran,well...i still need to decide if i truely like him or not...he's weird, broke the image i had about ELVES from Lord of the rings, where elves are high class & mystrious & cool...

loooooooove the conversations between Wynne & Alistair..so much, though don't know how to trigger them..

Dragon Age is the greatest RPG to come out in the last 10 years.

Ten years ago, BioWare greated Buldar's Gate, wildly considered the best of the 'golden age' RPGs. (Planescape: Torment and Fallout are the other two contenders) Blizzard, however, created the popular World of Warcraft and Diablo franchises - an MMO and action-RPG whose model has come to dominate the RPG fields.

Last year, BioWare released Dragon Age, a traditional, single-player RPG that showed the industry that this form of RPG was still popular and viable.

If you loved Dragon Age, GET OUT AND VOTE FOR BIOWARE AGAINST BLIZZARD!

Vote and post here why you loved Dragon Age. The story? The characterization? That it wasn't another MMO?

I have absolutely NO love for blizzard anymore but seriously.  "Greatest RPG of the last 10 years"?  That's really a bit much.  This game is the worst game bioware has probably ever released and the addons and DLC are only getting worse.

However i am still voting for bioware over that pile blizzard. :)

I am simply in love with this game but more so with Leliana.

This game, especially Leliana, gave me a reason for existence in life. Leliana is my favorite character. I am in love with her voice. She is so adorable! Allister is awesome also but he is a guy and so am I. Maybe I would make an exception but it would take some time.

I love her so much that I am only willing to kiss her and not romance her. I don't feel like violating her by doing so. She is so cute and adorable, a form of purity. Sharing a bedroll would take away her cuteness and innocence. Though I am not sure, if she insist, I will comply.

I love Leliana so much that if you take her out of DA and it is simply a worthless peice of software. It is Leliana that makes DA the best game I've ever played.

Smiles slyly.  A form of purity, huh?  Good thing this is a no-spoilers board.

I guess I can safely say this - every character in the game is pliable depending how you interact with them.  It is one of the things that makes me love the game.

I would vote for Bioware but am not interested in creating yet another account, sorry. I have dabbled in D2 but never online and also made it through Warcraft and started on Frozen Throne (bought the battlechest) but again, solo. I also bought the StarCraft battlechest but haven't opened it yet.

Just bought Fallout3 GOTY as well (and not opened it...). So many games I haven't played--I need to quit my job.

Slightly off topic, what to you think Twitter is paying to get BW and The Escapist and places like that to say use Twitter for more points, prizes, whatever??? I have negative zero interest in Twitter. Yuck.

I love everything about DA:O and DA:A. The best part is the feeling that one's actions have consequences (especially in DA:A). I also like how the characters feel like real people, with their own interests, personalities, and beliefs. I like having to consider who is in my party based on both role AND who will agree with my actions. For example, I choose certain party members for my "good" characters, and different members for my selfish/heavy-handed characters.

I also like the deep lore in DA:O. The lore was what kept me interested in the Elder Scrolls games, but when Oblivion provided minimal new lore to the series, I needed my fix. DA:O was to become my new dealer of deep lore. I'm also a big fan of the darker feeling of DA:O.

I would vote but BW are not in the Most Bugged Game of 2009 or Worst Customer Support section.

You've trolled several threads about how much you hate Bioware now.  If you don't like Bioware, why the **** are you here?  Take your fake ass Japanese name and GTFO.

And the truth shall set us free. When EA/BW fix the game that I paid good money for, just like you, then there will be no need to hold them to account. If you cannot accept the reality that EA/BW have done nothing to fix one of the most bugged games in 2009 then GTFO this forum. Fanboys such as yourself are a dime a dozen, and are part of the problem.

Oh AuraofMana cool name...lol

You think Blizzard is a "pile" and that Dragon Age is BioWare's worst release ever... This just makes me wonder: just what kinds of things do you enjoy in life?

Decent, bug-free, finished games that require more thought than just *click here, click there, click here again*, presumably.

That said, I loved Diablo 2 and Warcraft.

I won't argue that the game isn't bug-free(on the technical side of things DA:O is a little behind where it should be), but what makes DA:O an unfinished game?

Also I find it strange that you love Diablo 2 when it is almost nothing but repetitive clicking. If DA:O is so thoughtless, what does that make Diablo 2?
