As an undergraduate business school student, I have to take this course known as "Introduction to Law". As part of a grade, I must also write a 5-7 page paper on any legal matter of my choice.

Initially, I was going to write about gun rights, but as I researched the topic, it was far too broad for my liking. So, as I searched for another topic, a thought popped into my head, about the BioWare Bazaar:

Why were the states of New York and Florida prohibited from being part of the contest? That was the question. So, using LexisNexis, I looked up "sweepstakes" and "new york" in the search box.

Long story short, I will be writing a paper about sweepstakes law instead.

It basically has to do with sweepstakes/contest and tax laws. New York and especially Florida are stricter than most states.
